I've Met Ronnie Wood

I can't believe my luck.
Whilst visiting lake louise in Canada I bumped into Ronnie Wood.
Seizing the moment I asked if I could shake his hand, Ronnie came over and gave me a bear hug and shock my girlfriends hand and said "Hello Darlin".
What a great moment, sadley I took my last picture of lake louise ten seconds before the meeting.
Anyway, dreams do happen. I'm making sure I carrying a pen and paper with me at all times.
rock on

Nice story. Ronnie appears to be a great guy by all reports. I tried to meet him years ago on Richmond green at the Cricketers pub while on vacation. This used to be his local. He never showed up the days I went in for a few pints hoping to see him and say hello. Oh well I tried.

I've met Ronnie several times and he is a real nice guy. Both he and Jo and Chuck was wonderful people. It's sad that Chucks gone btw.
Jo even took a picture of me in front of the stage, and she sent it to me by mail, with best regards from family Wood! GREAT!

Lucky you! I met him while he was on tour with Bo Diddley. Very warm and gracious. Appreciated us coming to the show and the fact that we knew him from the Jeff Beck Group

He surely is a nice guy and played a certain and crucial role at a time when Mick and Keith had " bad relationship "and he must thanked for that. But what did he bring musically to them.Nothing compared to Taylor.

They were headed downhill on IORR, anyway. Including Taylor. Ronnie brought them BACK.

I like Ronnie very much but I sadly have to join the taylor fans since I listened to the 72 live tapes. Its like a different band. Just easy and great with so much room for improvisation.

Why did this have to deteriorate into a I hate Ronnie thread? As someone said, they would have been gone long ago if he hadn't held the band together...

I'm glad, I've always enjoyed rw, i'm amazed how healthy and young he looks at the moment, always enjoyed his solo albums, would like to get hold of breathe on me from now look, it's better than the more recent version, i think the wood/ taylor ongoing debate reminds me of jarndyce v. jarndyce from dickens bleak house! the rs do just change, as they get older, and you can't hold people back, what i love is that the rs now, on abb, sound like they are fighting for their lives, metaphorically, like they know they have to play loud, hard and sing like they mean it, even if it doesn't really rhyme, rock n'roll is never meant to be that serious, but it should be alive, never meant to be a business, but everyone wants to be famous, and i think for 4 men who have spent large amounts of time trying to work on something, be competitive, and be exciting that they are doing better than i thought, hugely better, in fact abb is a revealation and somewhere down the line rw is very much a part of all that. a band, not unlike a football team are meant to be together, and we their fans find it hard when they don't live up to what we hope of them!
RW, everyone says is a nice bloke, which is amazing, considering the life you have to lead, but i think, now at the youthful 41 i now am, that in the long run, much as i truly do want to, it really is better not meet your heroes for long!
