Who's selling tickets?
Posted by: rock'nroller ()

After the crappy threads about the poor live performances, I'm quite bummed out. I bought five tickets for the two upcoming shows at the Garden in January, and the vibes coming from this fan club site leads me to believe I should sell now. I've enjoyed the two shows so far on this tour, and am just dumfounded.

The issue is, I've seen the band over 70 times, want to see them again, but get pretty disallusioned after reading these negative threads. I just wanna know how many of you wind up sellingt tickets after getting bummed out? Nothing basically has changed sicne Ronnie joined the band, so what'up?

They are actually playing pretty well for the most part. You most likely would have to go through a show of 95% songs that you've already heard a number of times, though.

i'd go with my own gut feeling...if you've seen two show and liked em, thats what i'd go by...unless you trust some of the posters reviews

Leonard, only reason I asked, is that I bought a few extra 100 level tickets...I'd rather sell them to a true fan than to a "friend." Enjoy the Hollywood Bowl show! Hey, they fixed the place up nice, huh?

rock'nroller, "the crappy threads about the poor live performances" are obviously representing an infinitesimal minority on the big audiences. Also, as you can see on the board, the big majority of the "crappy threads" comes from guys who haven't seen the Stones on this tour...

Just what I thought. So it's best to stay in my little personal Stones bubble, and not pay attention to these negative posts. There is a way to get too far into this band, and get un-interested, as happens every now and then over 30+ years. You gotta dig a band when you want to dig a band, regardless of what the press or these posters say. That's what true music appreciation is all about.

If you've enjoyed what you saw and heard already on this tour, why are you relying on the opinions of others?

That doesnt make any sense

Christ, that's a dilemma we'd all love to have! Go to the show(s) for pete's sake and tell us how it is!

Do you have an extra for the Friday night show? I may be interested in buying one, perhaps two at face value.

The hell with what others think.

The way I look at it is there anything else you would rather be doing?

Go to the shows because on January 21st you will never be able to go to either of these shows ever again.

And if you're disappointed on the 18th, sell your ticket for the 20th.

I am going to the 20th, and I am pretty sure that it will be the show of my life!
