If you had the vote that counted, which warhorse would you convince the Stones to stop playing on the current tour? Whether you are a fan or not of the current set, there must be one song that you feel needs a rest. For me it would be START ME UP. It really only works as an opener, and it's been done to death. I feel that one of the reasons this tour lacks its own identity is that they are still beating this song into the ground to come out of the gate with. Open with ROUGH JUSTICE and say, 'yeah, we're called The Rolling Stones, we have a new album and it rocks! here's a taste!'.

Anyway, post your wish for putting a warhorse out of its misery and maybe Chuck will see this and heed our wishes!

I've made the same argument re: RJ and SMU. I'd love to see them open with Rough Justice. At the same time, I'm not a big fan of the warhorse block at the end and I'd love to see Slave or Fingerprint File. So . . . shoot JJF, in the spirit of your question.

Sympathy looks and sounds tired this tour. Obviously, the same can be said for Miss You as well.

Start Me Up is definitely the weakest of all war horses. Please put it out of it's misery, and bury it now.

Think all of us could do without GS, SFTD, YCAGWYW, HTW, YGMR, MU and Satisfaction for the next couple of tours.
Although I do love all of them.

I want sent to the vet - TD, BS, JJF and SFM as they need to be kept in check for mine cos I love em no matter what.

Gimme Shelter, Midnight Rambler, and especially Can't You Hear Me Knockin' though not sure that CYHMK is an official "warhorse" given the infrequency they play it.

I would drop YCAGWYW.....due to the length of the song two other rockers could replace it.

I would also bury Satisfaction. This is coming from someone who has seen them numerous times and I still have 2 more shows to go (MSG Jan 18 & 20)

I never tire of Rambler.

I like that they have been changing one or 2 songs a night but I would like to hear more from "Bang" or have them throw some surprises at us

Sympathy is more of a light show than a song at this point.

I do feel that as they rumble to the end of a show it should Brown Sugar and finally JJF as the last song

Right now i should say every warhorse except Gimme Shelter and Street Fighting Man. Ironicly they are playing every warhorse EXCEPT Gimme Shelter and Street Fighting Man so the stars aren't looking good for me this tour ;-)

On the other hand when i am at a stones concert and they start a song like Start Me Up i'm thinking "here we go again" but after the first verse i start to love a warhorse again because the crowd is into it and see it's a great song again.

I could sorta' live with "start me up" as it has become one of their signature
songs and everyone knows it...I would say "you got me rocking" could be replaced
with a dozen or so songs...

Replace MISS YOU with something like LITTLE QUEENIE, or another Chuck Berry inspired song, and just improvise all the way out to the main stage. If I want to hear another version of MY; I''' put on one of my three releases from '78 - album, radio edit, and extended!

I wouldn't classify Miss U as a warhorse because as far as I'm aware, it’s not played every night. However, it is certainly a song I could do without hearing.

If they happen to drop any of they're regularly played hits, it should be Jumpin' Jack Flash. I adore the song, but it's sounding a little tired now. Or maybe even Honky Tonk Woman could be put to sleep for a bit.

It would be great if they'd replace them or at least rotate them numbers like It's All Over Now and The Last Time. Both HUGE hits of course, but I guess the boys don't feel they fit in with a stadium show.
