all right: "i felt like i was cloned" is maybe a bit of a reach.
the whole rest of it is a fine riotous mean-spittin rock lyric,
which is only one little part of this great gritty number
which has claws and fangs and ~*rocks!*~

you need more roughage. have some popcorn.

"What do you want - what?!"
- Keith, 1973

- 1975, courtesy of BrownEyedGirll

ps by the way, it's "she had me dead to rights"
and "she's out on parole" and "i was served up on her grill"
and you've spelt "sights" and "burglarized" wrong -
but have some popcorn anyway. it'll do you good, i promise
(right on the grid right on the grid!) :E

More songs that sound like Jumpin' jack flash that sound like Tumbling dice or like Satisfaction. I would be quite satisfied if they could do some more songs like these. I'd even be happy with some more like Rough justice.

Right on, withsssoul!

You gotta love SSMC - the flippant lyrics, the crunchy guitars, the Stones ATTITUDE which we haven't heard in a long, long while................

I don't know... listen to J. Geils' lightweight "My Angel is a Centerfold," then this one. I mean, the J. Geils Band was not too bad, but just a party band. Frat boy stuff. You'd hope for more from the Stones.

SSMC is a great song, one of the best on the album. I can't wait to hear it live. I can't believe people are criticizing the lyrics. There are plenty of great Stones songs with relatively simple lyrics, ie, She Was Hot, She's So Cold, Out of Time, etc., etc. They all don't have to be profound, in fact most of them aren't. The music and the attitude are what's important. It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it!

excellent points, ONNYA. I would extend the argument a bit, even - very few of my favorite Stones songs' lyrics stand up very well on their own. Mick and Keith aren't exactly t.s. eliot
