Once again, the Stones are left off the New Year's Honours List

Keith has said he wouldn't accept such an honour, but what about Charlie and Ronnie? Haven't they contributed enough to the UK's artistic heritage? Apparently Billy Ocean and Nadiya Hussain are seen as more worthy.

Honours may have been offered but not accepted. When that happens the Palace does not reveal who has declined. The individuals themselves can then choose to either go public or for the offer to remain private.

Anyone can nominate a person for an Honour.
There is a procedure to be followed.
It would, for example, be possible for IORR website to organise an application for an honour to individual Stones and to then back it up with evidence to justify the request and also for IORR to provide the numbers of supporting signatures,
IORR also probably has some influential followers who carry "weight" to support the application and get it to people with influence.

Now there's an idea ...............

I wonder if Marianne Faithfull has ever been offered an Honour?
50 year plus career spanning acting (Film and Theatre) and music and literature.
Not sure what her reaction would be if offered, however.

Queen could honour knight
them all with the blade then
they could rock the palace with
Blazing version of Andrew's Blues

I can see that you're fifteen years old
No I don't want your I.D.
And I've seen that you're so far from home
But it's no hanging matter
It's no capital crime

I'm not so sure.

Keith is definitely not for any of the honours.
