This song just has everything... tremendous attitude, crowd involvement, great sing-along... and the live arrangement is and has been fantastic... and it's one of the top 2 or 3 songs off a landmark album...

SO... simple question... why the &^%$#@ don't they play it more often ???

They played it quite a bit at the start of the '99 tour and also a few times on the Licks Tour.

Beats me. I'd take that one over a warhorse any day.

After what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia, I doubt that we will hear it anymore. Except perhaps in California, since Mick loves the applause after "thank you for your wine California."

Agree, the song should be played more often. Then again, most of us feel this way about several songs that are also neglected.

Because they don't know how to play a set with songs that will please all sorts of fans. And they are lazy.

If they'd play Sweet Virginia more often, people on this web site would pretty soon be calling it a warhorse........

Everyone Agrees, I think, that this is one of the greatest Stones songs ever, and it's an INCREDIBLE live song, their arrangement on it just nails it every time....

SO... why the &^^%%$$ they don't play it every other show, I don't get it... it would become a "warhorse" that very few peeps would complain about
