Jagger was tame here and I don't know why people are bothered and I lean right. I for one am happy when celebs preach because they are one of the reason Trump in in the white house right now. Tons of Americans hate celebs preaching and hypocrisy. Everytime someone like Springsteen opens his mouth more votes for Trump. I can't believe the left doesn't get this yet.

Jagger has never been very political and only makes comments once in a while and its no big deal. he was actually respectful here. IN the past Jagger has made some comments directed at left wing activists. He mocked the no nukes movement and the Sun City boycott (m Rock and a Hard place is about that ) . It is not like he is all left wing. I personally think its stupid for any celeb to yap about politics and that goes for Springsteen, Bono ( playing in front of the statue of liberty was disgusting, hey some @#$%& from Ireland thinks we should have open borders ) Kid Rock, or Ted Nuggent.

It's easy to criticize people when they voice their concerns. Until we make the changes we need to our infrastructure, we're all part of the problem. To discredit someone because they fly on jet is a BS argument imo.

Stanlove: The world is bigger than the USA. The USA is probably the only place in the world where it's controversial to worry about the climate changes. Everywhere else it's a non issue.
By the way, Jagger isn't left wing at all. He is a libertarian. The opposite of left. Like Dump for instance. Dump and Jagger are in the same league. The super rich financial global elite.

This crises is a fact and all the details known up to know - and there tons of - are on the table. If in doubt ask the scientists, read the reports outside your bubble etc. The climate doesn't care if you "believe" in this crises or not, if you act against it or if you think it's a kind of Chinese lie. To be fair: To speak out about environmental issues is the "new black" here in Sweden (Western Europe). Celebrities and politicians do it all the time. Completely uncontroversial.
The only deniers here keep to alt-right sites on the net. Of course there is hypocrisy also. Worry about the climate one day and fly to Spain the next day kind of thing.
But I think the political climate is a bit different in the US. Hence the outbursts here.
