The Stones only licence their music to UMG. They're not "in the hands" of anyone

Why should a chinese investment group be any worse than an american group, btw?

It's only a 10% stake of Universal Music - which belongs since February 2006 100% to French media conglomerate Vivendi.

Vivendi plans to sell further minority interests in Universal Music to other partners, with up to 50 percent to be sold. Since the end of 2013 there have been talks of a split-up of Vivendi.

Don't panic - Universal Music isn't the Rolling Stones ....
