How many shows on this tour have actually sold out? I'm not talking ticketmaster having nothing available and/or ticket brokers having a handful come showtime; I'm talking looking around the arena/stadium and there isn't an empty seat? What are the actual numbers per show as compared to capacity?
Second, with the Stones at the Super Bowl, playing a Pepsi gig a few years back, their song on a soap opera (Streets of Love) and all the other merchandising and licensing, have they lost their integrity, and if so, when did they?

I'd say it was the moment they became professional musicians who made popular music, not that there's anything wrong with making money or being popular in and of itself.
As far as the Stones go . . .
"We copped out, but we did it for money, so it was all right." - Keith Richards, circa 1968

most likely none but that is most likely true with any band. they have sold well over 90% of the tickets and considering they are the pretty much the only band to be playing stadiums now, that is fantastic drawing power considering high ticket prices.

Sadly, the Stones (a/k/a M. Cohl) are the only act not reporting gross numbers to Billboard. They send the final report at the end of the year/tour including god knows what.
They keep lowering the bar. As "bands" like Aerosmith did the super bowl, I thought at least the stones don't. But when mccartney did it, I knew it was only a matter of time. The sports tie-ins -- they had one with the nba towards the end of the licks tour -- are embarrassing, and getting worse as jagger makes scripted sports-related comments onstage. They must think their fans are yahoos.
Then again, recall the early days of lip-synching and rice krispies jingles.
Then again, they did cool things like not come out and wave to the fans at the end of one of those shows and got heat for it.
Then again, maybe that move was just marketing, too.
they got bills to pay......i did read that jon Densmore will not"rent" his doors songs out...good for him.....but my senese is he does not have the nut the mick or kieth must have.....break on through break on through .........
I sort of have a problem with the "selling out" thing. Yes, the Stones are leaning to the sell out side, but more power to them. I remember that argument when Zappa fans felt he sold out (Joe's Garage..Dancing Fool) but he opened up his catalog to people who would have never cared before. Can you name any groups from the 60's who didn't sell out? They seem to no longer exist. You can make an argument that all groups sell out at some point in their careers.

Neil Young, while not exactly a "group" has never sold out.
Don't want no cash Don't need no money Ain't got no stash This note's for you. Ain't singin' for Pepsi Ain't singin' for Coke I don't sing for nobody Makes me look like a joke This note's for you. Ain't singin' for Miller Don't sing for Bud I won't sing for politicians Ain't singin' for Spuds This note's for you. Don't need no cash Don't want no money Ain't got no stash This note's for you. But to be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with selling your work or appealing to popular tastes.

stones like most bands are and have always been into it for the money... it goes all the way back when brian jones took more money because he was the leader of the band, without telling the others... to when the stones got corporate sponsors..in fact they were thew very 1st band to use business sponsors to pay for their tours...jovan for men!

When the copyrighted their tongue logo... they knew what they were doing. It's no hanging matter. It's no capitla crime. OH YEAH!!!

That's as good a starting point as any. Of course, if I had spent the first 10 years of my career getting ripped off by folks like Allen B. Klein, I might start changing the way I approached the business end of the stick as well.
