I was in Nashville three days ago for The Who. Nashville is anything but "smallish" anymore. It is absolutely exploding downtown. But, if you get a downtown hotel you can keep yourself fully entertained with musical history and bars and restaurants within walking distance. Any other attractions you might consider are a short drive away.

How do those of you getting tickets from scalpers outside the stadium get around the fact that they could just be selling multiples of the same ticket print out? Do you make them walk you into the stadium? Thanks.

OK folks, I am having trouble finding a view from my seat type of website. Please give me two or three sites that do this, down to the view of a concert stage from an individual seat if possible. Thanks.

I would never buy a printed e-ticket. That would be profoundly naive. Hard tickets only and make sure you take a printout of a floorplan so that you’re not buying a nosebleed.
If you opt for Nashville as a stop over, which, I think is not too bad an idea, pay a visit to "Bobby's Idle Hour" Tavern on Music Row. It is a bar with loads of history, many longer songwriters passed through there, and they still have the tradition of live music and "guitar pull" though, unfortunately, it is not the same as it used to be, avoid when they announce "comedy" ...Quote

What is the best stopover from Boston to New Orleans? I just like it warm dry an quiet, don't think I will survive more than two days in New Orleans, so with the full week off I am looking for a great "Southwest Airlines stopover". May be Nashville?

I don't know if you're trying to avoid hot weather, but I need to second the recommendation of Savannah, Georgia. You could spend 2-3 relaxing days there. I visited Savannah to see Bob Dylan last fall and fell in love with the town. Gorgeous parks, good people and food, nice walking around. Not sure about the summer though.

Thanks, but I cannot find my section at Levi's which is 136, the closest is 134.
Also, the seats say "Limited View." What does that mean? They seem to be directly up from the side of the stage, Keith's side.

I was there the same night for the Hives, imagine my delight when both shows let out at the same time . . .
Nashville is definitely growing, but the downtown area is still very walkable, compared to some large cities. Downtown hotel prices are getting increasingly insane, unfortunately, but it's still a wonderful city to spend a few days in.

One of the rainiest May days in 30 years they said. Glad I didn't need to potentially ruin my recording gear. Ready for August.

Mmm, are these the tickets you got at a rock bottom price from an unknown seller online?

Agree country hall, and JC museum is cool, plus the musicians hall of fame is really good.
And agree hotels are becoming insane!
Peabody Memphis has its 150 anniversary this year, some killer deals there. Snagged two rooms in 2 weeks for $150 each a couple weeks from now. Typically those are at least $285+.

Do they still have ducks walking the red carpet at the Peabody?
