78-82. They were rejuvenated and kicking ass for a few years. Too bad ww3 had to happen.

I like the early Ronnie Years a lot(1978-82). The music might have lost part of its musical sharpness but it gained in fun and scenic attitude. If rock and roll sometimes has to have a trade off of rocking versus virtuosity I take it. On stage, the shit has to rock; don't pinkfloyded my rock and roll, baby!
Rockandroll,
Mops

Favorite live era: 1968-1982; as much as they matured as a live band starting in 1989, I think they lost that sloppy/dirty sound that made them sound so great.

Favorite studio era: Obviously 1968-1972. Nobody in the history of music produced absolute masterpieces like Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers & Exile. A close second would be 1978-1981. There was an all around "fun" sound that came from that era. Some Girls, Emotional Rescue and Tattoo You act as a trio like the albums from The Golden Era.

Any era where they didn't cancel/postpone shows/tours. There, I said it.
