Is it is just me or does "It Won't Take Long" have a REALLY GREAT "Gimme Shelter" kind of groove to it??

for me the best song of ABB, very good guitars!

It Won't Take Long is awesome. I consider that one, along with Rough Justice, Oh No Not You Again and Back of My Hand, to be the true standouts on this album. Although I love the whole thing, except for Streets Of Love.

They've got a really great guitar sound on It Won't Take Long. I'm really hoping they will play this one live, along with She Saw Me Coming.

To me it sounds like an outtake from MAIN OFFENDER, typical Keith style but surely no "Gimme shelter"

As every song in ABB: Just Great!!

it doesn´t remind me of Main Offender, but neither on gimme shelter....i think this kind of song was rather found on VL or on Jaggers Wandering Spirit!

i think i know what youre gettin at here...theres something about the repeating pattern of guitar chords that rings a "gimme shelter" bell...but to me gimme shelter has an apocalyptic feel to it...much more menacing and dangerous sounding...it wont take long is a more "personal" song of someone who got their heart stepped on...also the music reminds me of Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers "born to lose" (which is a good thing)....still, It Wont Take Long is a great song in its own right

It Won't Take Long is great! I love that track.

But, no. I t doesn't have that Gimme Shelter groove to it.

This is totally a Voodoo Lounge-esque track. I can imagine Keith smoking when I hear it.

I still don't understand why hardly anyone finds it the best tune since Start Me Up. It rulllezzz!! Best track on ABB.

I think is a typical Open G Tune Richards groove. It remains me a lot "Low down" from Bridges.

it´s a much stronger song as "Low down" from Bridges! for me there is resemblence!

My favorite on the CD. A minor classic. Laugh I Nearly Died is, I think, a better song all round, but I still like It Won't Take Long best.

me think so, too.

I think the guitar breaks toward the middle and the end sound like the guitars in "Brown Sugar", actually.

It reminds a bit off "Mother of a man" from Wandering Spirit!!
But, great Tune. Both!!
