Sounds like a lot of people here don't like ballads.

IMO the all time worst Stones song is Where The Boys Go, then Might As Well Get Juiced. Which probably could have been a cool blues song but the Stones and techno are not a good fit.

I like your attitude, Meise, voiced in another thread, not wanting to tell which two tracks that you did not like in a context , and even now only reluctantly one song. [later correction: It was in fact earlier in this thread. I could not stand, you see, to read so much abuse in oh! so many threads of songs I love or at least do like. Consequently, I had to make a break. That was the reason for my fault.]

As a matter of fact, a long, long time ago I disliked "Empty Heart" myself. But later and now I quite like it - not among their very best from its period, which, as we know, is their first peak period.

It is a strange habit this that we are so desperately poor in our thinking that we often only manage to show our appreciation of this mighty band by saying what we do not like (yet, or never). - Expressed by the title of an almost never mentionned track which I have almost always loved, even if there were other tracks of Volume 2 (European catalogue) that one tends to mention beforehand: "WHAT A SHAME"!

Donut! Rock n hard place is the tops. Continental drift, Terrifying, Break the spell etc. etc. Walks all over dirty work.

I think the worst Stones song is unquestionably "Emotional Rescue". Dumb disco beat, dumb lyrics and worst of all...Mick's horrible falsetto !!

2nd place would have to go to "Too Much Blood". The "slasher murder" rap that Mick does in the middle is just garbage. Way beneath the Stones' integrity.

Turd on the Run, Shake Your Hips, Gotta Get Away? Can't agree with any of those as I love 'em (and think they're good!), but you won't get much argument from me on most of the others.

I know Gomper is weird, but I like it. I'm Movin' On definitely rocks, though admittedly it ain't exactly brilliant.
