You all know that the Stones have an enormous back catalogue with great unreleased treasures. So sometimes I imagine the Rolling Stones should enter the stage and do nothing but unknown, yet unreleased material. This would be a big surprise and show the incredible creativity of the group. "And our greatest hits are for our cover bands ..."

I look forward to the day when some of these gems see an official release. Unfortunately it's not likely to happen until after the band is finished, methinks.....

Why do they have to wait until they are shitting in their adult diapers and we are right behind them on that old age waiting list for them to release this stuff? You'd think they would want to enjoy some of those tracks now when they are still mentally fit enough to remember them.

great unreleased treasures ?

follow the yellow brick road..........would they have released all the crap songs on dirty work,emotional rescue,undercover etc if they had better stuff ?

nope, i'm serious as a heart attack...part of the holdback reason is from legal entanglements with abcko records.....lots of stuff in the vaults...not sayin its all gold....but if ya got the silver, thats not a bad deal...best wishes

Plus a ton of stuff, like outtakes recorded with friends and different vocalists. Theres enough of us hardcore fans out here that would eat it up.

For example nearly the complete studio boot "Back in the USA" (studio sessions '78). Full of very good, blues-related songs and an incredible version of Chuck Berrys "Back in the USA". I prefer this one to "Black and Blue" and "Emotional Rescue". The sound quality is almost you are used to hear in that period. Sometimes better ...
