But at least the Glendale show is indoors in the AC. Pasadena and Santa Clara are going to be scorchers. And don't get too excited over the convenient shuttle....unless by convenient you mean standing in an extremely long lines.

But like I just said in the prior post, I will probably go. I talk a tough game now, but as the date approaches, I revert back to a 13 year old girl and can't contain my excitement when it comes to the Stones!

Yes Kennedy, I feel the same about seeing the Stones after all these years - especially on the home turf of SoCal.
And, thankfully it's not at the Coliseum...while I have fond memories of many shows there, the surrounding area leaves a bit to be desired to put it mildly.

A question for Rose Bowl experts who have been to concerts or games there. What is the best way to get there? I'm coming from West LA... Should I drive there? Is there any preferred parking to make it easier to get in and out? Can you buy it in advance? Or should I drive to Old Town Pasadena and take a shuttle to the stadium? Are there long lines for this? What about taking an Uber? Do they drop you far away from the stadium? How would i get back? Any advice would be great appreciated!

I'm happy and jealous of all you folks going to see the Stones in the Rose Bowl. Just typing that felt cool. Parking and traffic may be a pain but for a Midwester for life like me, the Stones in the Rose Bowl sounds amazing. And now I have the picture from Van Halen Diver Down from when they opened for rhe Stones at the Rose Bowl. Not to mention Joe Walsh and the Eagles opening in'75.

Van Halen didn't open for the Stones at the Rose Bowl, it was the Tangerine Bowl in Florida, 1981 ( Van Halen ). The Stones played the L.A. Coliseum in 1981 with J.Geils Band, George Thorogood, and Prince as openers.
Pretty sure the only other time the Stones performed at the Rose Bowl was the Voodoo Lounge tour in 1994 with Buddy Guy and the Red Hot Chili Peppers opening which was amazing, and yes this upcoming show will also be amazing. Don't remember or even care whose opening, but it's the Rolling Stones at the Rose Bowl 2019!

Wow, I want to say it was DLR who once said they opened for the Stones at the Rose Bowl in their hometown of Pasadena and used the photo for the back of DD. Last time I ever listen to DLR!

For those of you who live in the area--is traffic from the Beverly Hills area to Pasadena likely going to be awful late afternoon on show day? Unfortunately I can't get out of Beverly Hills until 3 or 4pm to head to Pasadena that day and am very worried about it taking forever to get to Pasadena. Thanks.

If your goal is to be in the Rose Bowl by 7:30, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Thanks BluzDude. My daughter works in Beverly Hills and can't get out until around 4. I am staying in Old Town Pasadena and plan on dropping the car and walking or shuttling from there. As long as I am in my seat by 8:30pm I will be fine. Appreciate your response.

I have only been to the Rose Bowl for football games. I hope to find a hotel in Pasadena but want to drive from PHX. How much is parking? I know the traffic issues getting in and out---is that why most here want to shuttle or walk?

I like the idea of having a cooler, food etc...and transportation after the show.Any advice, recommendations greatly appreciated. Also: I do NOT have a ticket yet so need to be there early to get one or look for one.
