Are you ever satisfied??
Posted by: Roadster32 ()

You got

a great new album
a new world tour
the boys are alive and rocking.

And what do you do?

complaining and whining about this and that (change of setlist, Ronnie, Bring back MT, ABB vers. EOMS etc. bla bla bla).

Can you ever be satisfied?

Don't get me wrong "It's only Rock 'n' Roll" but too much is too much.

Cheers and just enjoy it.

I'm living with the Bigger Bang, it's part of my life and I ain't complaining...it just rules... other material sounds dull.

That's what the board is for. It's not only for "oh the Rolling Stones are so great!". A review also isn't "HEY I JUST CAME BACK IT WAS AWESOME SO GREAT OKAY BYE". The point is we all love them.

Do you think they just thought "hey, let's do a back to the basics album"? Do you think they just thought "hey, I got a great idea, let's play Sway"? Do you think had a drunk mood and just accidentally gave Chuck's volume-knob a swing?

No.

It's because we asked for it. You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need! That's the Rolling Stones fans' motto. We liked them already when they didn't do Sway! But now we like them even better. If we were just shouting around how great they were there would be a 100% warhorse setlist.

Like Muddy Waters, "I Can't Be Satisfied." smiling smiley

Seriously, I'm happy with the new album and the tour, but there is nothing wrong with some constructive criticism or wishing they would do or play something different. This board would be pretty boring if every post was limited to "go Stones, you rule."

hey reptile

are you really so naive that a shout on this or any board make them change the setlist?

They play what they decided to play and everything is 120 % organized and planed.

Ahh, the "trolls" only serve to keep the pot boiling -- without keeping this forum stirred up, they would have no life at all LOL.

Every family has them -- you know, the aunt whom you dare not ask, "How are you?", because she proceeds to explain her aches and pains in excruciating detail.

I have come to realise a few things on this board for people to get satisfaction from the Stones they will need to do the folowing

A. Play more of the new albumn, but not too much because they have to include more of the 60's stuff but also play more 70's stuff but also play songs they have never done before and play the hits exactly like they did in 1973, is that too much to ask??

Yes it is!

Satisfied's not the word....it's EXITED!!...great new cd & touring....as for being satisfied....i'll never be totally satisfied....i appreciate the things i like...but to be totally satisfied is the equivalent of having "no pulse"
