have to say that the only two of those songs I think are utter duds are Hold Back and Jugular. the others arent bad at all (lowdown is actually quite good)

easiest to give an overall top 6 of each in that entire era

I think Steel Wheels is weaker overall than each of the last 3 Stones albums, but the 3 best songs on it are utterly superb and head and shoulders above the rest of that album.

and yes...Hold Back is deserving of the worst...sounds like Jagger did one take and then went out to dinner.

Back to Zero keeps coming up in posts over the years as the worst Stones' Stinker. I would agree to that. I'm surprised though at how many of you don't like Hold Back. Great song for me. I love the way MJ throws his voice completely into it.

If I understand the original thread question, it's five best/ worst songs since Undercover, not one song per album.

If that's correct, I'm surprised by a couple of things here:

1. Everyone distributes the best and worst list evenly among albums
2. Nobody has yet said that there are multiple songs on his/her best list from ABB.

What surprises me about point #2 is that on many other threads folks are talking about ABB as an album that ranks up there with TY, SG, and even EOMS. If that were true, wouldn't we expect to see more ABB songs on the "best" lists?

I love Steel Wheels as an entire album, as a unit, but I can't choose any song off that in the best 5. If you forced me I 'd say Slippin Away and Almost Hear You Sigh could make it.

more like "throwing up". I think its the worst vocal of his entire career and the song is an unlistenable mess, devoid of any melody and with the worst drumming ever on any Stones record. Quite possibly the worst song they ever recorded

i think B2B is a very good album......even ASMB...a bit popy but i like the album and the tour was great....
