Boy, talk about being off key!!!! Sad thing is, this is nothing new. I have plenty of Boots from 2002 and 2003 where Keith just started Brown Sugar off so bad. Not sure which show it is but it was so bad he started the intro over again after just strumming the riff twice.
Exact same thing happened at Ford Field in 2002 and that ended up being one of the best stadium gigs of the tour. Maybe its him making up for the rest of the show...
Yes, a very unhappy opening of BS by Keith then, but listen closely to Vredenburg and you'll notice it's Mick making things actually worse by singing his opening line a few bars too soon, right as you think they're getting the song on track. The band follows him - probably by arrangement - and is only pulled further into the shit.

The intro indeed is pretty bad, also there some 'wrong notes' from Ronnie as well after a few bars. Interesting that everyone hears it, not only the 'educated musicians'
Greg, You're right about the Vredenburg screw up. As far as I remember it, it seemed Keith nodded to Mick when to come in the song after the weird intro riff, but Mick didn't pay attention and made it sound even more terrible than it was... The same happened with Stray Cat Blues at the Stockholm Cirkus a few weeks before...
