Well, I did not discover that. Besides, such an ingredience still does not make the album a Christmas record. It would be more of an isolated gag.

Somehow, back then, we discovered that if you sped up that weird noise at the end of side A to 45 or 78 r.p.m. that it was "We wish you a merry Christmas" ...

Wow, I never knew that.
I just tried it and heard it.
It's at 78 rpm.
No words, but the tune.

Or put another way...... if you bought Goddess In The Doorway or Super Heavy why wouldn't you buy a Stones Christmas album?

Because those albums are not speculating in Christmas sentimentality. I am not against any sentimentality about the Rolling Stones or Rolling Stones related issues, but I prefer my favourite band completely free from Christmas sentimentality.

Another blues album for Christmas would be great. This time I would like a focus on the artists of the blues pioneers of the 20’s and 30’s. Some more Robert Johnson songs as well as Charley Patton, Blind Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Leyroy Carr, Tampa Red to name a few.....

Cheers
Andrew

The thing is I enjoy Goddess In The Doorway, and SuperHeavy: I, as a rule, don't enjoy Xmas, and Xmas albums.

There's certain Xmas songs I do like, i.e Elvis cutting loose on Merry Xmas Baby from 1971, Run Rudolph Run, Please Come Home for Xmas, and Bob Dylan doing O Little Town of Bethlehem, but other than that, I don't have the Xmas spirit.

That would be a nice addition to my Christmas album collection. I have only one so far, Dylan's (plus one single, quess by who). I will pass Clapton's, sorry Eric.

Bob's "Must be Santa" is a Christmas classic in my house.

OK, no one else has guessed, I'm going to say "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney.

Unless you mean that a-side of Harder They Come?!
