Has anybody noticed ...

I haven't been to any shows yet (I'll be going to four in the next two weeks) but I'm listening to the Columbus gig right now -- THANKS AGAIN, DRAKE! -- and the one thing that I'm noticing above all else is:

THERE IS VERY LITTLE CHUCK!!!

Sweet hallelujah, there really is a God.

There hasn't been ANY Chuck since '98, actually....oh, you probably meant Leavell.

The way I like it:

Less Leavell.

More Berry.

Well, I read the reviews from Boston saying that Chuck was much less prominent, and I was a bit skeptical, but Hartford confirmed it.

It was a very welcome development, although it'd be nice if he gave up his band leadership duties to Keith. Too much to ask, I guess.

Chuck who?

Actually, I still don't like the opening to SFTD because of Chuck-key. It takes about 3 minutes to get to the guitars. I'd say let Blondie and Bernie and Charlie carry it on percussion, and drop the keys on Sympathy.
