The O2 and Wembley Arenas for the Stones unless Pits A & B count on the last tour.

I saw Bill & Charlie at the Marquee in Wardour Street with Alexis Korner.

Ronnie, Bill, Charlie and Mick Taylor at the Ambassadors Theatre in London.

Also saw Mick Taylor's band at the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Finally I have seen both Bill and Mick Taylor at the Orchards Theatre in Dartford.

Yep New Zealand wins, just on sheer capacity.

550 person town halls, sorry people we, were, are just too small for ya'll to compete on size in the 60's. (Dad say's it was like Ed Sullivan in Color)

Maybe this thread is a good place to bump my Toad's Place story from 2009 which was on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of that show. It's a bit long-winded but there is a historical touchpoint for many fans.

Ok, it was not "The Stones" but about 15 years ago I saw Mick Taylor play at a jamsession in a little pub in Holland (max 50 people).

1994 Toronto Club Show. RPM Club.

My brother called me. He had a friend who knew I was a huge Stones fan.
He was attached to Michael Cohl (somehow)
I drove a very high speeds to get to Toronto.
Great night, great show.

I have several photo's of the queue at Shepherds' Bush .... from the number of people her who have posted that they were there (as was I), seems like I've got myself a real rogues gallery of iorr! (What's the best way to post them here?)

Not Stones, but I did see The Who in the terminally unlikely venue of The Assembly Rooms Worthing (if you know the UK you'll understand that adjective) which was (I guess) a warm-up gig to a 1973 or 73 tour. Couple of hundred people.

Aragon Ballroom, Chicago. On the floor in the first few rows. Waited all day in a smelly alley to get down close and it was worth it.

Yes I remember the Alley. I must have waited from 2 or so - a sunny hot day. Honestly that was the best Stones show I’ve seen. Saw Keith at both his solo shows at the Aragon as well. Unfortunately I missed the Double Door show - found out too late in the afternoon - I’m still traumatized. Gradually recovering...
step by step.

The Rolling Stones 6/6/72 San Francisco Winterland
The Rolling Stones 6/14/78 Passaic, New Jersey The CapitolTheater
The Rolling Stones 6/19/78 New York City The Palladium
The Rolling Stones 7/6/78 Detroit, Michigan Masonic Hall
The Rolling Stones 7/11/78 St. Louis , Missouri Keil Audittorium
The Rolling Stones 4/22/79 Oshawa, Ontario, Civic Auditorium
Mick Taylor 11/22/86 Portland, Oregon Starry Nite Cafe
The X-Pensive Winos 1/17/93 Seattle, Washington Paramount Theater
Charlie Watts Quintet 7/13/96 San Francisco The Fillmore
Mick Taylor 8/7/01 Eugene, Oregon WOW Hall

If memory still serves correctly the smallest audience for me was the Mick Taylor

If we take ‘solo Stones’ into account, I saw Keith at the Ahoy in Rotterdam in ‘92/‘93 (dunno the max.cap. There, but it must be around 15,000...); Bill Wyman’s RK In Antwerp (BEL) in a 1,200 venue, and Mick Taylor in the Mean Fidler’s (London) togetheter with some 200 people. Also saw Dick Taylor with The Pretty Things in the legendary 100 Club...

Hey DartfordRenegade....I was at that Alexis Korner gig at the Marquee. That was quite an evening. Any idea if there is a dvd of it? I have a feeling there was one which is long since unavailable.

Smallest venues I've been to from those 70's tours.

The Joint, Las Vegas before its expansion, when I read its capacity was 1,100. Michael Cohl walked right past me just outside the club's front door.

The Joint, Las Vegas - 2002
Stockholm Cirkus -2003
Vredenburg, Utrecht - 2003
Astoria, London - 2003

After those theater/clubs, Glasgow SECC Arena twice - 2003

Largest would be L.A. Coliseum - 1981 twice, and 1989

Since people are mentioning solo gigs, etc, I'll add the Bluesbreakers reunion w/Mick Taylor at the Roxy, L.A. 1982 (capacity 500),
and Mick Taylor at the 100 Club in London 2003 (capacity 350).

Hi Manofwealthandtaste,

Your post got me doing some research to see what I could find out and there is a DVD available from Amazon of which includes some tracks of the Marquee gig along with an interview with Alexis Korner. It's called Alexis Korner & Friends Live in London.

I had forgotten that Ian Stewart was playing that night although I remembered Ruby Turner was singing. For some reason I seem to recall Geno Washington made a guest appearance on a couple of numbers but maybe my memory is playing tricks with me.

Here is a link to the DVD - [www.amazon.co.uk]

You can also find a few clips on youtube - one of Bill singing!

I didn't count solo shows...but saw a few.

Charlie Watts at the Blue Note in NYC....now that was small...front table, and we had steak and ales before the show.

Keith Richards 2 shows, different tours, Constitution Hall in Washington DC...the second show, he played Happy after the curfew, and they pulled the plug on him....great shows. The hall holds 3700

They are really a different band in a small room.
