So, when do any of you think the announcement will be made? No one has talked much about that for a few pages.

plexi

Some are saying Friday, then again a couple of the venues have hinted next week.

Friday not traditionally the greatest day for press releases. Lately the Stones have been announcing their tours early on the week (Mon-Wed), if I'm not mistaken.

Seems like it's at least 3 days between shows, based on the limited dates posted. That would put Seattle at about Saturday May 18.

Not sure what else is going on there that weekend, but hotels sure seem in high demand - but it always seems that way every time I go for a show there, jeez...

If that is the date, when they do announce it, it's gonna be a shark tank getting a room at a decent price.

Some friends came to visit recently & stayed by the airport. There is a convenient light rail station there that takes you directly to the stadium district.

How come the Cubans got a free show, and we have to fork over $150 for a similar festival type set-up? Won't be many of the salt of the earth citizens of New Orleans at this show.

Havana Cuba and Copacabana Rio Brazil got free shows because someone else i.e. a sponsor paid for the shows. The Rolling Stones do have a large crew and a cost of touring. If there is a telecom company or a philantropic person or some other sponsor in charge then they may do such shows if they fit into the tour schedule.

Please do not be jealous. It is called generosity. Some say "me me me" and "us us us" only. Others may think "you" and "they" and "the otrhers". The Rolling Stones do want to play for everyone everywhere, witin some limitations of course.

And please do not make this discussion and thread into a political discussion on who is rich and who is poor and why and all of that. We can not solve the word problems in a thread dedicated to The Rolling Stones USA Tour 2019.

Toronto will get its turn. As will many other US cities. Just have to wait until Part 2...

Yes, this is possible. It all depends on the terms & conditions of the particular hotel/booking site.

I saw a new Stones poster yesterday. It was the Statue of Liberty at sunset with a Stones tongue in the sun. I'll post it later unless someone else gets it first.

Does the Statue of Liberty mean a show in MSG or Brooklyn? NJ is not NY.

I thought the same. I guess the Statue just stands for the US.

The Statue of Liberty represents the US. She is facing east, toward the sunrise and England. The sun rising with the Stones emblem represents the Rolling Stones coming to the US.

Is it possible that the Hotel situation is Baseball related as well? That weekend the Cubs are home playing the Mets. The Cub following is passionate and may have fans from same region. They may try to catch both the Cubs and Stones. I can hear a dedicated regional Cubs fan now, that may not be an actual Stones fan. "Hey the Stones will be in Chicago same weekend we play the stinking Mets. Let's do both!"

To note- White Sox are on the road during subject dates.

I believe there is a country music festival at northerly island (adjacent to soldier field) that weekend. I can’t imagine there being concerts scheduled for both venues due to parking, etc, but I could be wrong! I would love a Saturday night show so I can bring my wife.

Yeah, playing Chicago on the 21st would give them three full days off and it would be a Friday show. Clashes with the Lake Shake festival, but maybe that doesn't matter grinning smiley

Hearing Boston is June 8th.

That way, with three off days between shows the final stretch would be:

June 8 Boston
June 13 Metlife #1
June 17 Metlife #2
June 21 Chicago #1
June 25 Chicago #2

Right? Two weekend shows in there too.
