It's a desire, a wish, but it's unreal. He does not fit anymore in the Stones and the Stones won't have the ability to fit him in.
Even with Wyman it would be a tough tough tough time.
Today the band is a big band and that's it. They have rehearsed now since so many years for so many tours and it^s a give and take chance. I do not see any win win situation. And honestly they speak about this in economics it it's so untrue. Because if you and your body have a win win situation you're blind enough not to see the looser

Hogwash. Darryl and Lisa have both put on weight. Keith and Charlie have their own health issues to deal with. They are all getting older & losing that battle with their bodies (except Mick maybe). This band is about the music, and Taylor a true musician can add his genius to that without any rehearsal needed. Let's not call people names, it's very unbecoming to those who do it, let ye who has no faults cast the first stone.

Forget that guy! Had some great moments with the Stones in 1969/72, but he'd never fit in!

Truth is stranger than fiction

Ok I was maybe a bit too harsh but i guess I wanted to piss the Taylorites off a bit, I mean some of them have been really really nasty towards Ronnie and I am getting a bit sick of it and wanted to show it is very easy to slag off Taylor as well, but maybe two wrongs don't make a right.

I had seen two Taylor's concerts in the middle 90ties. The first one was just decent, the second one almost disappointing. God... We live in 2005 now... Taylor is only "past" and "memories".

A freind saw MT play in Kingston, Ontario recently and he just played slide over 12 bar blues. (can't Mick Jagger do that now?) Had to cover some Stones songs since he had nothing else. Didn't look to healthy either he said. The fancy finger work was sorely missing.

Everyone only remembers the MT from 33 years ago.

I signed the petition. Mick Taylor has done the most wonderful guitar work in rock history. It saddens me to see these idiotic remarks about him. I saw him on TV with John Mayall a year ago or so, he was great! Musically, the best would be if Ronnie played bass, and Mick T. once again showed us how good rock can be.

Dream on, no way the Stones are going to do this, not even for Wyman and he is a founding member. Once you quit the Stones, that's it, you're out for life.

yeah keith's great quote the only way you leave the stones is in a casket.

You would like keith would give new insights when he does interviews but he gives
the same stones lingo in all the interviews and still talks about his greatest
riffs and how he came up with them. The guitar world interview is the same
interview he has given for the last 20 years. You know why because he has not
wrote a great tune since taylor left other then start me up which is always
tabbed out in the guitar mags.weaving is a sorry excuse to cover up the DUO
Guitar playing all these years . cant you see through all those RIFFS.

What utter crap, and tell me what great songs has Mick Taylor written? Just please let it go , Taylor is a has been and a failure as a solo performer, he owes all his success to the stones not the other way around.

Name me one riff that Taylor has written that is memmorable? I hope you are not serious and don't really think the Stones were great only because of Taylor. MLC seems to state this same thing over and over again how the Stones would have ended up like Herman's Hermits if not for Taylor and its utter crap. And he knows it because he never defends his point.

Infact, Taylor's 90s album was better than either of the Stones ones and better than ABB. Just consistently good throughout. No disposables. No disappointments. Good song-writing and great playing. Voice not outstanding!

I have seen him in 2003 and 2004 I saw the Stones a lot in 2003. They were good.
But he can play the pants off them. Would love to see that happen too. He is not washed-up musically. Maybe financially?

Was listening to a 2002 Swedish club gig of hi today. Just amazing work. Nothing forced, a la Ronnie. Just natural groove - AND bite. Then listening to him on a boot with Dylan. Astounding.

I'm not a Taylorite. I like my Stones with Ronnie too. But there is absolutely no question which of those three guitarists is NOT washed up, musically.
