Laugh,I nearly Died

I really hope this gets some radio play, it is such a great song and one I think shows the Stones in 2005 are still creative, it stacks up with anything they have ever done in my opinion.

Yeah, its weird if I had read my post after the first couple of listens I probably would have said 'steady on mate!' but really I think this one is a gem! ABB as a whole is a great albumn but not in anyway as great as some in their past except this song.

I like that one a lot. Jagger is singing like he really means it!

It's a standout track. Other songs on ABB are great, but this one is really special, I would even say extraordinary.

T&A,
What about SSMC gives you that extraordinary feel? Laugh, I Nearly Died is one of my favorites of this album too..

It's the ONLY song on ABB that has that ol' fashioned guitar-swagger to it...call it the weave or whatever you like. it's a throwback to their glory days. L,IND is okay - but it's pretty contrived, IMO. SSMC - like all great songs - sounds like it wrote itself - nothing contrived there.

I think it's a standout track, but I don't think it will get any airplay. One song that I think will is Rain Fall Down. Contemporary sound and Mick's "why do we live in this cold gray town" wrap shows just how vocally nimble he still is.

Rain should have been the first single, in my opinion, hands down.

I think both Laugh,I Nearly Died and She Saw Me Coming are great songs.I knew they still had it in them. There are quite a few good songs on the album but,I wish they had started a little earlier so they could have come up with something better than Biggest Mistake,Look What The Cat Dragged In,and Streets Of Love.I like Rain Fall Down overall but,not the line about having the eggs cooked up.It seems to hold the song back.

I think Biggest Mistake is a great song. The production could have been a little more ragged, but its a nice mature coming of age song that seems to tip its hat to the stage of life they are in.

Cat Dragged In - some of the best guitar on the album!

Just my opinion.smiling smiley

one of the best songs on an excellent album! I like the way Mick sings a lot, he really seems to mean it! One of his best efforts, i would say!

Probably my favorite. Also close: rain fall down, biggest mistake
