Loads of blues and rock songs are based on similar riffs. Nothing new.

I know how to post a link by 'copying and pasting' from the address bar
on a page (clip) I'm referring to.

But a lot of folks know how to make the actual video appear in their posts...
or stills...
\I don't have photobucket or a pay service.
I don't know how to do that with pictures; a 'still,' I mean, either.
Which is frustrating when I find something really cool to share
on a pic thread of one kind or another, and can't contribute a really cool shot.
Sometimes just 'copy and paste' the address of a still won't bring it up.
If anyone can splain it, ty.

Hopkins:

All I did to the link you shared to make the video appear was to remove the "s" from "https" in your link.

With the "s":

Peace,
Mr DJA

La Grange is half Hip Shake and half Boogie Chillun!

I've mentioned on here before but go to Youtube and check out Joan Osborne and her band doing Hip Shake at a radio station, awesome! Don't know how to provide a link.

Speaking of ZZ, Jesus Just Left Chicago and AC/DC Ride On are similar.

"Ride On" also has a "Fool For Your Stockings" feel.

Here's the link to that Joan Osborne version of "Hip Shake" you mentioned.
I hadn't heard it before and I'm SURE really glad for the referral.
They do an incredible job; hurricane force and she's an awesome force of nature.

I recently saw her when I luckily scrolled across Cheap Trick special
Sgt. Pepper Anniversary tribute concert, which was Totally awesome.
She was in the cast and did beautifully; Brought some heat and soul.
It's a stone pity how under-rated each and every member of Cheap Trick is;
Yes Bun E. Carlos is back for this show. which is huge in itself for Trick fans.

Yes this version of Hip Shake is absolutely blowing my head off...
wow. Incredible band really working it out with authority and power.
She's a powerful angel of delight.
Hey, thanks for this. Hats off smileys with beer
She's totally won me over time and again.

Yes, the Cheap Trick/Sgt. pepper thing is amazing. And, yes, they are sooooo underrated.

Joan looks really good for her age! Other youtube vids of her doing Gimme Shelter and Beast of Burden. Also, check her out doing What Becomes of the Broken Hearted from the Standing In The Shadows of Motown movie. One of my favourite youtube clips!

I always thought that ELO's Don't Bring Me Down was more that just inspired by Stop Breaking Down.

Never made that connection, but Don't Bring Me Down has always slightly annoyed me ever since it was released and overplayed on my local radio stations back in '79.

"Don't bring me down, groos
Don't bring me down, groos
Don't bring me down, groos
Don't bring me down..."

Here Jeff Lynne explains the lyric: Jeff Lynne

Q:I have to ask you about Don’t Bring Me Down …

Jeff: [Laughs] I know what you’re going to ask.

Q: What?

Jeff: About Bruce? It was supposed to be Grooss! And we had a German engineer who thought it was Gruß, which means “greetings”. I left it in and didn’t think anything more of it, but then we went on tour and everyone was singing “Bruce”. So I joined in and sang Bruce and I’ve sung it ever since. It reminds me of Monty Python. “Grooss” was just to fill a hole in the song. It’s easier to join in than to explain that it’s not Bruce, it’s actually spelled g-r-o-o-s-s … so I sing “Bruce” instead of explaining.

Oddly, it is their highest charting single in the US making it to #4 on Billboard!

Who is this "Bruce" guy, and why is he always trying to bring people down?

With absolutely no exaggeration at all I can state that that particular version of "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" is one of my favorite songs of all time by any artist in any genre. Not sure what it is about it but I enjoy it on a level that many of my other "favorite" songs never approach. I can honestly say that I became a Joan Osborne 'fan' after that song led me to look for more from her.

I'll make it easy for others to find:

Hey dja, the link says video not available.

Well that's no fun... My browser says that "Flash enabled ... yada yada ... click to play on youtube" and then when clicked, it opens in a new browser window.

Apologies for the confusion, all. If the link doesn't work for you, In case DGA35 and I haven't been clear enough, a manual search at youtube will most likely, make you glad you made the effort to check out the clip we're talking about.

Peace,
Mr DJA
