in some sort of makeshift bar type of thing

Andy JS - so if the Stones play Wembley after BonJovi...it will be the second time they have followed them!!

Looks like Jon and the boys could be the real trendsetters in rock!

"You gotta keep the faith!"

Let's wait and see. Have faith in the Stones. This is too important for them. At least it should be.

What's the big deal anyway?? I don't get this whole 'the Stones MUST be the first band to play the new Wembley' theory.

Who cares?

The Stones are playing in London (probably Twickenham or maybe Wembley). What's the problem?

I find it funny so many people get het up about another band being (gasp) first to play there...

i meant in general. Jovi have announced 5 stadium shows already. the Stones will probably do 2 or 3 ?

god i hope its not Twickenham and its seats on the pitch nonsense again yawning smiley(

Wembley please, with general admission like a proper rock n roll concert

Come on riffhard72, surely you can understand the importance. It's Wembley, it's the Stones!!

Gazza - another way to look at it is that Bon Jovi will be warming up the joint for the Stones. Feel any better now?

Not really , no!

Bon jovi could easily sellout Wembley on their own

and I doubt they'd announce their dates this early if they were only the support act. I doubt their fanbase would be too happy if their only chance of seeing them in London would be to pay £200 to see a 45 minute warm up show

I know the opened for the Stones in Paris in '95 but they were added to the bill long after the tickets had gone on sale.

didn't mean it as an opening act, per se.

Does it matter which band plays there first?? I'm shattered.....does it matter

it matters to Gazza and therefore it matters

Of course it matters...we will have these "yanks" walking around saying they did it first...like they do about landing on the moon, inveting coke, and winning the Tour de France 7 times.

Its a matter of national pride - ney birthright for a symbol of Great Britain's Britishness that this ground of most hallowed land be opened by the greatest of British, with the emphasis on British, bands.

I want to stand 180 degrees and to the left of where the old stadium stood - where world cup triumphs, European near misses and Live Aid all happened and I demand the right to be able to see the Stones open a new era - I want to pay £200 for the privilage and then piss and moan that they played TD and IORR again...its my right as a Brtiain!...God Save the Queen and all who sail in her.
