theyre the first band to book a show at Wembley, which isnt quite the same.
The Stones (or anyone else) could still theoretically play there the week before as I dont think the stadium is being used that weekend
As the venue's owners have gone on record as saying they'd like it to be the Stones, I'd find it amazing that they havent arranged between themselves that the Stones will do it first
If they havent, its a terrible wasted opportunity for some great publicity for the Stones which was theirs for the taking and something of a letdown for Wembley to have a relative musical lightweight like Bon Jovi being the first band to play there (they were also the last band to play the old stadium - maybe it means more to them to do so than it does to the Stones..)
Gazza, something that would pain you even more - on the official amazon.de review the new bon jovi album is compared to springsteen and dylan! I guess it's a must for you
Wembley is 100 % BRITISH tradition so are the ROLLING STONES.... Opening the NEW WEMBLEY with the OLD ROLLING STONES belongs together as two sides of a coin.

who ever wrote that should be committed and the key should be thrown away
maybe they'll open wembley in June and play Twickenham in August to end the tour
The capacity for a show at twickers is 52,000. If they allow standing on the pitch at Wembley they could probably get 75,000 - 80,000 in as the stadium will seat 90,000 (the old one seated 80,000 and was limited to 72,000 for concerts)
I hear they are going to have a flash stage...onstage seating...and play mostly the same set list from previous tours! Its gonna drive people nuts...and the kicker is they are going to charge $75 top price!! Its gonna be awful....
