I plan to buy NYC tickets but am not 100% certain I will be in NYC at the time. Does anybody now if the tics are personal (do you nedd ID or the credit card you purchased them with or will they be sent to youi and can be sold if you cant go. I live outside US (Sweden)

Also, is there a diffrence if you buy presale tics or ordinary Ticketmaster tics?

Ticketmaster wont send tickets overseas (probably down to the cost of insuring thembecause theyre so expensive)

The only way you can buy tickets from where you are is will-call. You must pick them up at the box office with the credit card you used to purchase them and some photo ID (eg a passport, etc)

If you dont go, they wont send them to anyone else so you lose out. Theyre non transferable

Thanks Gazza. Can they be picked up prior to the event? I will be in NBYC during the autumn.

Hello Gazza,

I am going to buy 2 tickets (me and my wife) for this show.

I live in Portugal.

Will Call means that you must present yourself at the day of the show at the MSG ticket office with an identity card and some written confirmation of Ticketmaster that you have indeed bought 2 tickets??

is that it (quite simple) or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

thats basically it, marquess. usually the credit card and photo ID should be enough although I would bring the printed receipt that you would have got when ordering online just to be on the safe side.

Anders - the tickets probably wont even be printed by the time youre in New York. They'll only be available on the day/evening of the show when the box office opens (maybe the day before, if youre lucky)

I went to the MSG show last week and there is a will call terminal in the foyer. All you have to do is insert the credit card you used to buy the tickets with and it finds them in the system and prints them out. Simple as that.

It would be nice to see a seating chart where the prices are listed at each section.
Now it seems that most ticktes cost 450$

Ticketmaster.com has a price-per-section seating chart for the United Center shows. Price breakdown should be about the same for MSG. Gives you an idea.

probably more than whats on public sales, considering there seem to be so many "pre sales"!

Kinda totally defeats the meaning of the word "pre sale" when theres four different ones, dontcha think?

they may as well re-name the public sale as "the post sale" or the "whats left sale"

Yepp. I think it stinks they should only have pre-sale for members!
I mean what is the purpose of having 3 diffrent ones when everybody always get the code. And i must say ticket prices in the US arent the cheapest. Ihope that they are a lot cheaper in europe.

actually, they've also had some "post sales" recently. What I'm waiting for is the much-anticipated "pre-post-pre sale."

marquess, you have my seay from the last MSG show, section 125 row E (if you are seat 7 you are on the aisle). dont say they arent great, they are. you have a great sight line and are pin high to the b stage. much better than spending $450.
