I just finished "David Bowie: A Life" and it's definitely one of the best bios I've ever read. It's not your typical rehash of his story, but rather it's made up from interviews with those who knew him from childhood, who worked with him in the studio and on the road, those who collaborated with him on other projects, etc. Suffice it to say that by the end of the book I felt as if I actually knew the man on a deeply personal level. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. A must read.
Yeah I am about 30 pages in and I really like how this is set up with interviews from folks who knew him or encountered him. Very cool!
I was happy to see some stuff from Geoff MacCormack. He's a great guy and was so friendly and got me backstage passes to meet Bowie. I will never forget that kindness! Thanks Geoff!
