The auction house website also lists a second sale in Boston on 11/19 (sale 3051 B ) that features more of J Geils' guitars and amps as well as 180 reels of tape recordings - who knows what might be on there?

I wouldn't have an idea but I will admit to be hoping for a few new J Geils Band live recordings to surface as a result.

Heck of a collection of horns.. bet there will be some deals in there.

Ya, no kidding. I looked through the pictures last night. Lots of horns; Wiki said he was in a marching band. The t-shirts are cool but that collection of vacuum tubes and the foam holder will go right away. I didn't see any Italian autos listed.

I live an hour West of Boston and J Geils was a Legend here so I expect the instruments to bring decent money. Being that he is a local hero I will be curious to see if there will be any deals on the other items.

I go to a small tavern, The Bull Run, in upstate Massachusetts and saw JGeils there several times playing jazz with a small band. He always talked to fans and signed autographs. He was a real Gentleman RIP.
