...they didn't play Satisfaction

Hi Stoners,

I saw 27 shows since 1995, 2 without "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction":
Stuttgart, Canstatter Wasen ´99 and Munich, Circus Krone ´03;

My mother saw 11 shows since 1973, also 2 without "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction":
Essen, Grugahalle ´73 and Münster, Münsterlandhalle ´76;

Have a nice weekend -
cheers,

Daniel

I didn't get Satisfaction at 3 shows:

March 15, 1999 - First Union Center, Philadelphia
March 16, 1999 - First Union Center, Philadelphia
September 22, 2002 - Tower Theater, Upper Darby

I also had a show without Tumbling Dice: September 17, 2005, Albany

I always wondered why they picked Albany of all places to skip "Tumbling Dice". They had not played in Albany since before the song was written.

Albany has had luck - as simple as that.

How many people been to a concert where they didn't play Satisfaction? Well I did as it was in 1965 before it was written. At Desert Trip last year, so many people saying they went to Stones concerts 40 years ago, didn't meet anyone who said 50 years+!

My favourite track from that 1965 concert (and probably still) is The Last Time, sadly neglected like so many others. I think Satisfaction has become almost ritualistic now, though I still love to hear it at concerts, though if they replaced it with The Last Time, that would be good enough for me

I don't think they played in on No Security Tour. And they cut a couple other warhorses on that tour as well and added some deeper cuts... made for a great tour! That is why No Security Tour is my pick for the next From the Vault DVD release!!!

They literally ran out of time due to the licence in London 25/11/12 at the o2. Was meant to be performed.

No idea, but I was grateful. It was a nice change and, surprisingly, life went on. Nobody demanded refunds.
