Well I am about 99.9 percent sure I will not be making it to Neil.

If that's not bad enough there is zero way to make sure the tickets get used.

I called the venue and tried several options and no luck.

Makes me sad because I felt like St Louis solo was cut short. And this time my

seats were as good as they can get.

If anyone has any ideas as to how to make sure these seats get used I am all ears.

jumpontopofmebaby,

I grew up in Minneapolis and I have friends there. I can reach out to them if you'd like? Sorry, sounds like a frustrating situation. I've seen Neil both solo and with Crazy Horse a few times over the years, always a good show...sorry you can't use tix.

Re: OT: Neil Young / Promise of the Real

Sure....they are for Jan 31st. They are front row middle section seats 27 and 28.

Put some feelers out and I can all the venue again beg for an option.

Truth is my mother is in the hospital and not doing very well.

So I have a real good reason for not wanting to make the trip.

OK, you got it.

I'm sorry about your mother. Yes, definitely real good reason.

I'll let you know what I find out. I'm guessing they are in the $200 range? (thats what front section is going for here in Milwaukee, anyway).

The total for both face value is $649. They are $300 each plus the fees I would take $500 for both and be glad to get it.

If you find a taker. I am not sure how we actually get them the tickets. They have to be picked up at will call.

I am hoping I can call the ticket office one more time and tell them what is going on and hopefully they have a heart and some common sense and trust me that I am not a ticket broker.

OK, I'm on it. Sorry the venue isn't more cooperative, given your reason. There's what's right and there's what's right.

Re: Will Call.......true, that could be a problem. I didn't think of that. Maybe just if they're left in your name? Maybe I'll hold off until you try the ticket office one more time?

Might be worth contacting the credit card company to see about potential recourse from that end. Depending on the company, they could reverse the charges if the venue is being unreasonable, which it is.

Well I have called the venue and asked them for a refund or if I could get the tickets before hand maybe by email. I have not told them the reason I cannot make it yet. There was still a few tickets left and I was hoping if it became a sellout they might be easier on me.

I will pull out the full court press tomorrow. Make the call and ask to talk to the manager etc.

Try dropping a note on the promoter's, venue, or even Neil's Facebook page, send an email to NYarchives, if possible. You never know.

Sorry about your mom. If someone else has your ID and credit card they can pick up but that requires major trust with someone.

Benjamin Booker was the opener, according to the venue website, but I didn't go so I don't know about set times. And still no response from my Minneapolis people, I'm sorry to say.

Well as of right now I am back in! Mom is a little better and getting a little stronger and being well cared for so being gone one night will be ok. My concert buddy that went with me to see Neil solo in St. Louis is now also in. That’s the good news. The bad news is the temperature OUCH. High negative 5. My nads will shrink up the size of tennis balls when they get that cold!!

Neil was dandy last night in Madison, in front of a very appreciative audience. He played the shit out of Harvest and avoided jukebox calls - well, he did play "Heart of Gold" but it was only the second time I've heard it in 20+ shows over the decades. Now, back to Jo Ann Kelly - oh my
