Did Mick write this song about Marianne Faithfull? It really sounds like it.

never thought about it, to be honest. Most Stones songs tend to be about "composites" of people.

Black limousine is actually primarily written by Ronnie Wood, however.

Right, but I thought Ronnie wrote the music.

I've always thought it was about Marianne Faithful, although I'm sure Mick would deny it. The lyrics are pretty mean-spirited (You're wrecked out now, washed out high upon the beach, well now look at your face baby, look at you and look at me).

Bianca was in white and Mick in green at their wedding -
so it's probably about Keith. :E

Oh, I don't really think it has a deep meaning. It's just about how he used to be all fancy with this girl and then he grew to be an even bigger star and she just sort of lost it, I guess. Hard to explain.

Mr. Sssoul, you know your stuff!

Bianca Rosa Perez Moreno wed Mick Jagger clad in a sexy Yves Saint Laurent suit on May 12, 1971. The groom wore a green three-piece suit.

Here's a lovely (though black&white) pic:

Apropos of nothing, here's a pic of Mick with notorious filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl (what the H&*% was he doing with her?!):

thanks! but i'm a she-sssoul :E

and in the meantime i started wondering whether the lyrics to this aren't largely Ronnie's as well. i know there are some demos of BL with Ronnie singing lead - anyone here have them? is he singing words, and if so what are they like?

Well it might be about one of Slim Harpo's lovin' gals.

Dream Girl Slim Harpo

Dream girl, I know your love for me is gone
Dream girl, I know your love for me is gone
You love me baby-hey, you know you won't do nothing wrong

You ride around baby, in your long black limousine
You ride around baby, in your long black limousine
Well I just wanna be your chauffeur, to drive you 'round and keep it clean

Well I'm the king bee, you let me first all down your hive
When I'm the king bee, you let me bust all down your hive
Well now your honey's bad baby, and you won't even let me ride

Rockman beats them all at last.
Slim Harpo´s no lightweight musician either.
