I'm the opposite!!

Great funky dance track - and I liked the extended mixes too (it was an excellent 12" single)...they never did it justice live

It's a tough one to nail live. I'm actually suprised they bothered so many times over the years. Still, it's the central track on that great album.

I think it sounds great on the Washington D.C. '94 and Detroit 2002 recordings.
+ Philadelphia 2002.It seems like more of a stadium song than an arena song.Does anyone know if a recording exists of the 1995 concert in South America where it was played?

Sorry - my mistake. I'm thinking of 'Rock And A Hard Place' which really isn't the same thing at all....

i've never heard a disco song played with such slashing guitar work, but there is a first for everything...i think that undercover works well live, from the bootlegs that i've heard...as i've said before undercover is one of my top five albums from the boys because it changes directions so many times. while some may complain that the sound is too slick it is definitly rawer(sp?) than steel wheels...rockers she was hot, too tough, must be hell( yes, we know borrowed riff, so what?)funk or what have you too much blood, plus jaggers funny chainsaw bit, feel on baby is swampy drum sample good stuff, even ronnie's pretty beat up has a nice sax solo and chug along guitar work...let's not forget that it was coming as a follow up to tatto you and of course people expected another start me up and what we got was taxi drivers eating their girlfriends and girls done up in lace and rubber...great albums from the 80's...would love to hear too tough done live that has one of the best solos ever done... it sounds like ronnie but i could be wrong....

I had in mind droppin this... But no.

I listen to it right now. What do I hear:

ra-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta (synthethic drums)

Du-du-du-dum-du-du (pumpin disco bass)

wham-bam wham-bam bam (drums, maybe Charlie, maybe a machine)

Du-du-du-dum-du-du (pumpin disco bass)

etc [I´m talkin album version here)

...If this isnt disco, please tell me:

What is disco?

...And where are the screamin guitars?

If you like this, you dont like the same Stones as I do.
But its easy for many to bash Majesties; that fooker has
so goddam much more dynamics, rock ´n roll & groooove than UC.

Can anyone get me the rock (?) version... ?

This topic is about Undercover as a LIVE song...

But people post over & over that the STUDIO version is just great.
As I understand all you expreienced concert-goers (since I´m not one
of those), it becomes metamorphosizised (or slt smiling smiley ) to a rock song
when played live, right?

Funny I have heard it live and studio

Like two different songs

Live great (89) studio sounds like a bad attempt at a Bond movie theme smiling smiley
