Beck's opening in Toronto. Anyone have any thoughts on a Stones song that Beck could play with them. I'm thinking something from Exile. That'd be cool.
whats about of an premiere of full Country Honk? i know its impossible....but....:-)

if this happens (beck+stones) then it would be imo an acoustic song. beck plays almost acoustic guitar,so far i can remember.

Beck is awesome. Love his stuff, but never seen him live. I wish to god he was opening at the show I am going to, United Center in Chicago. ANY song he did with the Stones would be killer. His version of Diamond Dogs by Bowie a few years ago is smokin'!
I've seen him live last summer, and I've been impressed by his guitar playing. Not so tecnical, maybe, but he rocks, I tell you! Great opening act for sure!

--> the guitarpart on go it alone was done by Jack White (White Stripes) if I'm not mistaking...
But Beck is great live. Saw him some months ago in Amsterdam. He's the best of all the opening acts I've seen on lists from the ABB tour so far.
I recall reading Beck did No Expectations in London a few years back. Not sure if it was a one time only thing or if he's done it several times. Not really a fan of his so I'm not sure.
I saw him play No Expectations at Lincoln Center a few years ago. It was, shall we say, underwhelming - pretty lame actually. But he was trying so I'll give credit for that. Of far more Stones-related interest to me was seeing a real live Melotron.
Didn't Jagger sing on a Beck song once? A rap or something? I seem to remember the two of them hooking up once. I know Jagger has said publicly that he love's Beck's stuff. Beck has a great song called Blue Cross. It's hard to find, only on an EP of another band (geraldine fibbers). I think it's on the label Sympathy for the Record Industry, out of Long Beach. Anyhow he's a great songwriter no question.
I'm seeing Beck in Columbus with the Stones. Sooooo excited. Last time we had the White Stripes and they rocked too. Thank God the Stones get such amazing, talented and fresh opening acts so it's not like a nostalgia show.
