good news is: there's no reserved seating on the pitch

...and no admission to the pitch if under age 14, so for those looking to bring your kids, take note.

Unescorted, for sure?

Those rules are standard for any show in the UK and have been for sometime. Looks like the Irish apply the same rules. Health and Safety and all that. Last year I saw U2 with my brother and nephew. As my nephew was then 13, we had to sit.

It is nice (to whomever made it) I copied it.
The RS aren’t the only ones selling tickets.

Dublin – I still think it's stupid to play an open air show in Ireland in May – historical average temperatures for Dublin in mid May are between 6°C (low) and 15°C (high) and an average of 12 rainy days. It was cold enough in Hamburg and Munich in September…

Great news about the ticket arrangements for the pitch.

No Filter Pit
Gold (Front) Standing
Regular General Admission.

Let's hope it's the same for the whole tour.

we have to remember the licence for the dublin show still hasant been approved and those residents dont mess around and are very vocal towards issues

apperenlty the concert will be the only event that will happen in the stadium in the month of May

setup looks good though

I was wondering about that. This Canuck has snowshoed all day in -25C temperatures, but never felt the cold like in Dublin in September.

Like I said earlier in this thread, Ive been to about ten outdoor shows in Dublin in May.

And I dont recall an unpleasant experience weather-wise at any of them.

And as you hail from 100 miles North on the same island, we can trust you grinning smiley. I'm definitely going to this if I can get a ticket and digs. My mate's from Belfast (lives in Rosetta) so I'll persuade him to be my Lucky Dips Partner in Crime as I did for Paris last year.

That was on July 11th!! The ones in May have generally been decent enough weather wise.

In fact, the last one (Croke Park 29th May 2016) was absolutely scorching.

Ha ha. I've known him 32 years and visited the city a good few times. It's a real pity the North doesn't have any decent sized outdoor venues for live music as there's certainly a market for it. Windsor Park's too small really.

Sadly, yes. Although it could hold about 20,000+ for a gig I think. As a Linfield member, I'd love a gig there for sentimental reasons plus for the fact that I'd have access to a members pre-sale. :-)

The 'arena' (ie, a field) at the back of the Kings Hall has been used for outdoor gigs before (Springsteen 2013 - about 22,000 people) and there are a couple of parks which get used for festivals and can accommodate about 30,000 plus, so its not impossible.

The area by the Titanic Quarter, where Frampton fought, too small?

I would think its probably in the 20,000 range as well. Dont know, the only event Ive been at down there was the fanzone during Euro 2016.

While I struck out every time I tried (2 x nosebleeds, 1 x no luck getting a pair at all), and my sister also ended up with nosebleeds the one time she tried, a friend of mine - Gaff who occasionally posts here (and shiddoobee)- did get pit for one of the Staples Center shows...or maybe it was Vegas. I think he took his young son for his first Stones show, and they had the time of their lives. Being that he's a pretty good photographer, he took some great pics! Also have read here quite a few who ended up being very lucky with their tickets, but a majority have seemingly been poor. Worth a gamble? Absolutely yes when you consider the overpriced face value of regular tix - at $85 (or $75 now) can't really lose.

Lucky Dips for Anaheim 1 landed us fifth row side stage on Ronnie's side. For Anaheim 2 we scored Pit. Vegas was midway up side stage Ronnie's side, while LA1 and LA2 landed us in the rafters.

Haha thanks Gaff for clarification - was going off memory. On average you did very well considering others like myself who got burned every time (but nothing a bit of manuevering couldn't take care of winking smiley ).
The Pit for Anaheim2 alone made all the other gambles worthwhile for you!!! Aside from LA1 (I was in Hawaii), we attended all of the same shows that tour...but didn't you also go to Staples III?

Yes looks fan made, yet very nice.
But with new info. about same stage and same pit configuration, this begs thee question...any speculation about the name of new tour?
Surely it wouldn't be a continuation of the No Filter tour, would it? If so, maybe they could at least change it a bit to Unfiltered?

The RS aren’t the only ones selling tickets.
If The Stones used that they would alienate a huge proportion of this country let alone Manchester City and Liverpool fans. A lot of people including myself can't abide Man U, so to see my favourite bands logo integrated with their badge? No thanks, If a fan made it for themselves and other Man U fans then cool but please don't tell me this is real.
