Ya-Ya's is the best - no question

I like the side of Love you Live with Crackin Up. "It's the bottom pincher from last night, watch out for yer bottoms, Keef"

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

Rolling Stones: Get Yer Ya Yas Out
Rolling Stones: Stripped
Bob Dylan: Real Live... with no less than Mick Taylor on guitar. The 66 Albert Hall bootleg series is a close 2nd, also incredible.
Eric Clapton et al: Derek & The Dominoes Live... Clapton's very best work also!
Creedence Clearwater Revisited: Recollection... better than Creedence Live.
Neil Young: Live Rust and Weld
Grateful Dead: The Grateful Dead (one with Bertha)... this or Europe 72, this by a nose
Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at El Mocambo (VHS)... best guitar tape you'll ever see.
Red Hot Chili Peppers Off the Map (VHS), older tape but I like it even better than Live at Slane Castle, honestly
The Original Woodstock... what a gem, a piece of music history that fortunately was recorded.

and at least one great Jazz live album for you RS fans to start listening to some classic great jazz, try...

John Coltrane Live at the Village Vanguard, Nov. 1961.

Trane has so many great live albums: Live at Birdland is murder. Live at the 5 Spot with Thelonius Monk is Monk's very best tape (most of monks cds are yawners)... Trane's Live at Newport is fair, but I always come back to The John Coltrane Quartet at the Vanguard 1961, his very best IMO... but Birdland is a real close second, get 'em both.

Wow!

We Agree on Coltrane!

Seriously... give Recollection a listen...

I'm a major Fogerty fan but I've seen BOTH FOgerty and CCRevisited prolly at least 4 times each over the past 7-8 years.

They are BOTH incredible concerts.

One big plus for CCRevisited is Elliott Easton on guitar... truly one of the best guitarists, most fluid, you'll ever listen too. The guy just nails and extends every CCR guitar line perfectly.

Plus the lead singer is just great...

Not knockin' JF one bit, but give CCRevisited's "Recollection" a listen if you haven't heard it yet.

Ya-Yas and Live At Leeds, with Lou Reed's Rock and Roll Animal as a close third. And when I say LAL, I mean the original 6-track LP. It's power was greatly diminished when they expanded it to 14 tracks.

Wasn't this another question that was asked fairly recently? Oh well

No particular order:

Ya Ya's
Stripped
If You Want Blood - AC/DC Bon Scott era no overdubs
Live - AC/DC Razors Edge tour
At Budokan - Cheap Trick - I Want You To Want..Me!
Made In Japan - Deep Purple at it's peak
Live at Leeds - The Who
Alive - KISS - album that made them huge
Live at the Harlem Square - Sam Cooke - Mr. Soul!

Some of my favorite bands have released live albums that I don't really care for, especially Van Halen Right Here Right Now. Aerosmith Live Bootleg isn't very good either.

I am surprised this one hasn't popped up yet at all... REGARDLESS of musical tastes, this double set ranks WAY up there as an analog-era live recording of the highest quality (has a little bit of overdubs, though, but still, what a stage band!!): "Roxy & Elsewhere" by the Mothers of Invention (DiscReet records, 1974)... smokes like #%$@!!
