Your Fav Song Right Now (not ABB )

Mine: "Half Caste" - Thin Lizzy

...Though I´ve been more than a die-hard fan for Lizzy for most of the time since 1976, I hadnt heard this before. Its in the box set Vagabonds Kings Warriors Angels, at the Kings cd.
Funky funky tune... B-side to the more known Rosalie (1974).Yeah, you can see the boy´s (=was) no collector... Btw at this time Brian Downey [www.briandowneyondrums.com] was no better than Charlie then
playing backbeat. Guess Charlie is way ahead now.

"I got a girl in Briggston town
Her daddy don't like me hangin' 'round
The boy ain't black, the boy is brown
Don't he know it's a halfcaste town

Big slow...

'The boy is halfcaste' /'Halfcaste'/'Halfcaste'

I got a girl up near Richmond way
Her daddy don't like me to lead the girl astray
The brown boy is born to serve he say
Don't he know it's a different day

In the big slow/No joke/Big slow
I like it/Big slow/Big slow

Mister, I'm halfcaste... You see, I'm halfcaste
I got no class... You see, I'm halfcaste... Halfcaste."

Has to be "Paint It Black".

I don't care too much for it played live (the "concert feeling" tends to be created by other songs), but it's honestly one of the best tunes ever.

If "Get Back" was done by the Stones instead of the Beatles, for me it had had a better chance to have that title. God that would be awsome, if they'd written it.

I just got around to listening to a new live David Lindley and Ry Cooder CD which has a song called Hold The Snake....the whole groove and playing just grabbed me.

Title of the cd, Mark? Lindley is a groovy musician. Well, Cooder, too.

Well, I´m more like when you´re approaching a friends newborn first baby,
like a porcelain doll... Movin´ in circles, holding a distance...
But now someone here talked about the chaos at the end of ONNYA;
and I gotta click it up again... Of course ABB´s in the car,
but I´ve got some new stupid ideas bout ridin a bike and walk
to where I´m goin instead of Drivin Too fast.... smiling smiley
Recently I´ve startin to like LMDS
( R o c k m a n; have you heard the 19th Nervous Breakdown-mp3 from
Phoeniz [see neighbour thread] ? )

Flight 505... A doomy song that rocks like hell!!
Even better now with, on the UK SACD version, those muffled exclamations in the back when Stu does his intro!!
(Is this new to that remastered version anyone?)

>>...With the whole world down at my feet
"Of course I'll have a drink!"<<

Hope the video- and IT-technique soon allows us to have
listening orgies thru the web & comment on the songs with our voices,
drinkin beside the computer (a-hah; so you already drink, ok!)...
Wonderful choices, I´m proud I´m started this.
Anyone have a new fav tomorrow, please feel free post it...
Myself I will most probably stick to ´alf Caste (and ABB ).
Flight 505 is one of the grooviest rock n´roll songs the Stones
ever recorded sofar. Stus piano is just a lethal, ivory machine.

On Def Leppard's current greatest hits CD, they have a version of No Matter What You Do by Badfinger. Great version. They're supposed to be releasing an album of lesser known cover tunes.

[www.smallbang.net] is what Tussler talks about.
One can listen samples of their songs.
From where in Norway are they?

Rockman: yeah, this pace is pressing the juicier parts off the song,
thats for sure.

Lately, I'm obsessed with Electric Warrier by T-Rex. I can't believe it took me so long to get around to it. So much wasted time.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I just realized I posted an album not a song, so change that to Mambo Sun and Planet Queen by T Rex.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
