Maybe you should ask Ticketmaster/the promoter. Sometimes they are able to transfer personal tickets to another name. Of course, at this point we don't know how strict the security will be with names on tickets.

Looking for Paris transit info from anyone who knows the system. I’m travelling to the arena from the 9th Arr, near Gare St Lazare or Gare du Nord. Can you tell me the best way to get there, and the latest I can expect to be able to get back by transit? Having trouble sorting the Metro, RER and local trains.

VERY EASY !!
Go to St Lazare Station (train) or to AUBER station (RER-express métro)
Both will take you to the La Defense station
From there, you'll have a 10 min walk down to the arena

Last RER (Paris bound to AUBER) will leave La Défense quite after 00:30
Trains to St Lazare will also stop quite after 00:30

Keep cool, you'll be fine
Before the show, you will find a few bars around the venue, but not after...
I would recommend coming back to Paris ASAP and enjoy a last drink there

FNAC are saying they've put tickets back on the market...but still no PIT of course

I've downloaded an excellent Paris Metro App for smartphones It covers RER also.

You can preload favourite routes to avoid confusion when in a rush in busy stations. Worth doing even as a back up.

it happened just 2 days ago early in the morning for a few hours for pit tickets at regular price of 221,50€ for Paris first and second shows
and it happened for a few minutes just some 30 minutes ago for all 3 shows

[www.ratp.fr] is the local public transit website, it gives you trip length and routing, just plug in your Start point and Arrival point in the De and A fields! I'm guessing you have a 45 minute ride from either point :-)

From StLazare: lines 13+1+A
From Gare du Nord: lines: 4+A

QUESTION: some guy who went to Barcelona show said they check to see that name on your paper ticket matches that of ID... Will this be the case for fosse or fosse or tickets in Paris?! Or is this something that is done with just pit tix or "lucky dip"? Any insight would be appreciated as I bought my 19th fosse ticket off of a lady (I have a photocopy of her ID) and am still looking for a fosse or ticket for the 22nd!

Yes, they did. But just bring a copy of the ID/passport of the person who's name is on the ticket. That is enough to get in, I did it this way.

Got the info email from U Arena. Bags banned. No word on cameras.

The U Arena FAQ says:

"Caméras et appareils photos

Les caméras et appareils photo avec téléobjectifs sont interdits dans l'enceinte de la U Arena."

That means small cameras are OK, no?

For Barcelona at least, all tickets bought from the usual outlets had the purchaser's name printed on them, which was checked against ID.

In Barcelona there were anti-scalping controls that were well advertised before the show and were really enforced at entrance. When they scanned the ticket the purchasers name appeared on their terminal and you had to provide a matching photo ID.

I havent read anything similar for Paris, at least for basic tickets (non package, non luckydip).

Even for the VIP package, all it says is a warning that the ticket should not be duplicated, as only the first ticket scanned will be allowed admission. It also has a warning not to buy from touts as they may be counterfeit and you could be denied admission. Nothing else I am aware of.

If you bought a VIP package second-hand and have the tickets in hand that should be enough to get in. I imagine they will ask you for ID to pick up the rest of the physical package.

Yes, from Denver it was about $600. For me, had to add another 400 for my wife and I to travel down from Montana. In any event, we got free flights with Skymiles from Billings for the same number of miles as it would have been from Denver. Hope to c u at an IORR preparty.
