Love this Sinatra story:

The ENTIRE clip is even more brilliant...

.

The word Brilliant lost all meaning long ago because of overuse.

I just left another thread about an average Stones song was referred to as Brilliant and i come here and its flying just like predicted.

Urban Dictionary.

brilliant

A term the British use to describe everything.
I's brilliant in't it? Right, yah, bloody brilliant. Wha' is? Oh, yah, right, brilliant. Bloody brillant.

smiling smiley Basil Fawlty used the word and he was running a Hotel. smiling smiley

I saw him about 8 years ago in Reno...new his time was winding down so I thought I better get to a show. Tipped the door man $50, me and my buddy didn't even need tickets, were close but not in the front row...a good time.

It also wouldn't be IORR without you complaining about the use of "brilliant." winking smiley Which in this case was used in a non-slang way, to mean exactly what you'd want it to mean.

thumbs up

Another ones of his great roles he was born to play...

The oldies TV channel has been playing Carson episodes where he was a guest
since Mr Rickles passed away and I have been watching and cracking up... he was funny... one of a kind.

It's Gone With the Wind.

For me Don Rickles has been around forever. If you grew up as a child in the Sixties you got to know a whole "gang" on TV. Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Ed Sullivan, Jimmy Stewart, Sammy Davis Jr., Johnny Carson, Jimmy Durante, Andy Griffith, Burt Langcaster, Kirk Douglas, Bobby Darin, and many others I can't think of now. They were almost like a family and you got to know them.

All of the movies from the 1940s onward were on regular TV. There was only four channels where I lived. I still laugh thinking about the movie "The Ghost Breakers" with Bob Hope.

Thanks Don!!!
