Bands with nicknames?
Posted by: peoplewitheyes ()

I was thinking about the Stones' monkier 'The Greatest Rock n Roll Band in the Word' and wondering about what other bands have nicknames.

The Beatles of course - The Fab Four, The Mop Tops,

Who else?

(even within the stones we have The Glimmer Twins)

I am thinking about bands, not individual singers/musicians

I think Kurt Cobain called the Stone Temple Pilots the Butt Pimple Toilets.

In the American South, Lynyrd Skynyrd always gets shortened to just Skynyrd.

Radioheadcheese is another snarky one I like.

I've been a pretty big Who fan for a couple of decades, but have never heard them referred to as The Gits...

Where have you heard that one, Javadave

That would make WAY more sense given they were from Queens, NY.

Wouldn't "bruvvers" be a cockney equivalent?
