All kinds of things wrong with this one.

Sold for $40!

I've seen two or three different designs of this one on eBay.

For starters, the word "The" is in a type font that still hadn't been invented in 1965.

Bobby Goldsboro?

Back to Mac ...

On November 20, 1970 I saw Derek and the Dominoes at the Santa Monica Civic. Clapton wasn't doing solo shows at the time...
...and I saw CSN&Y towards the end of 1969 at a sold out arena show (Pauly Pavilion, UCLA)

The first thing I noticed is how I don't think I've ever seen any 1960s/1970s concert poster printed with that many colors or 'complex' color scheme (fading/rainbow colors).

Almost funny...

THAT IS THE ONE the lady brought me! I hadn't looked at it in years. The tour ended in August. The closest they got to Cincy was Cleveland and Cocker didn't open any dates.

I saw a "genuine" US Tour 1966 poster on Ebay some months ago - with a Sticky Fingers promo shot on it.

Wow. This poster is possibly the worst. All the time they took to make it look
aged but they include those ridiculous song titles and of course the event never
happened. It's a classic! Thanks for posting.

It's a helluva line up though.
I would have paid $3.50 for a choice reserved seat!

And, if you check the fine print at the bottom, there's another ten bands or so "also appearing" (The Warlocks, The Great Society, The Mynah Birds, The Mugwumps, The Castiles, et al)...just think, the likes of Jerry Garcia, Grace Slick, Neil Young, Mama Cass, and Bruce Springsteen before they became famous! Must have been a heck of a day at the ol' Dorton Arena!

This is not exactly a fake but it might be one of the most misleading DVD covers ever. It’s a bootleg of course, but although it’s titled as Vienna 1970 (with Brian on the cover confused smiley) the footage comes from - I’m not sure which one - Knebworth or France 1976 concerts.

Joni Mitchell, too, billed for authenticity as Joni Anderson, though in fact she had already married Chuck Mitchell and changed her name a couple of months before this concert supposedly took place. Seriously, who could possibly be the market for something like this? College students, too young to know what's real and what's not, looking for an inexpensive way to decorate their dorm room walls? Senile old fools, nostalgic for a past they no longer remember well enough to know that it never actually happened that way, except maybe in their wildest dreams?

Pretty much ANY poster with a year on it is fake. Everybody knows that.

Some authentic posters did have a year date printed - but it's not common. You
are correct though - if there is a year printed on the concert poster proceed with extreme caution.

I've seen one on Ebay promoting a 1964 or 1965 US show with a photo from the Sticky Fingers photo shoot incl. Taylor.
