Two Septembers ago I happened to be having drinks at a Ritz Carlton where I have seen the Stones on previous tours. This time I happened to be sitting on a sofa in the main lobby bar and sitting on the sofa next to the one I was sitting on was Steven Tyler and the rest of Aerosmith (minus Joe Perry). No charisma whatsoever...and nobody at the hotel gave a damn!
Contrast that to when The Stones are in town...like night and day...
I think it's absolutely normal that a band, an artist, a writer gets insipration from another band, artist, writer. Aerosmith probably uses the Stones as main influence, just like the Stones use Muddy Watters, Chuck Berry, all these guys... There's nothing wrong with that, music actually wouldn't work otherwise.
My point was 'She Saw me coming' has a lot of Aerosmith in it, IMO : the way Mick pronounces the lyrics (She saw me coming, I didn't see a thiiiiiiiiiiing), even the intro (guitars licks, drums...) the general atmosphere of the song.
It must be me I guess :0) Anyways, everyone, enjoy the album it's great, and the TOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUR !!!
