What is your favorite stones album? I own a few of their albums but mine would have to be forty licks.

I'd have to say Let It Bleed. Pretty darn good album.

Yep. Slicky Fingers ain't bad, neither. X-all in Main Street is called a classick, but Dirty Licks is purdy good.

Hi bddrex, it sounds like you might be new to the Stonesworld. I say this because I see you posting a whole lot LOL and also because your fave album is 40 Lix. You know one thing I would suggest is to not overlook those early, early albums. And by early I am not talking about Some Girls>
I mean "England's Newest Hitmakers", "12X5" and "Now" and "Out Of Our Heads", "Aftermath" and "Between The Buttons". Just to name a few.
I didn't see your list of favorite albums, so if I am off base here, just disregard this.

Start with Gimme Shelter and end with YCAGWYW.....HOW could anything be better?? Chuck in Midnight Rambler, Let it Bleed and Monkey Man, not to mention country Honky Tonk and You got the Silver....woo hooo

Easy Rod. Start with Brown Sugar and end with Moonlight Mile. Or start with Rocks Off and end with Soul Survivor (Which points ahead to the music on Goat's Head Soup).

Sticky Fingers is the best IMO.

I have a feeling you would like Dirty work and possibly Voodo lounge. Ever seen them live?

My favorite is Beggars Banquet.
But the best is Exile.
Sticky Fingers is the album I would suggest a non stones fan to buy.

My favourite is Beggars Banquet but you cannot go wrong with any of the 5 albums from Beggars Banquet to Exile.

One of my two favorite albums is Sticky Fingers. All the songs are great without an exception. The album cover is fanstatic. "Some girls" has also the same qualities. Sticky is very dark; there isn't any fun in there. Some girls is the opposite; it is all about fun and a big laugh. Both of them are my favorites.

Conceptually-wise: GSH or Exile. Cant choose.
Mood/atmosphere: TSMR or LIB. Cant choose.
Best songs: SF.
Best sound: GHS.

But I believe ABB will fight its way on these lists.

Buy an album from time to time and just listen. There`s a lot of treasers in the stonescatalog.

I like 'em all, but if I had to take one to a deserted island, it would be "Black and Blue"!!!!! This one got me thru my parents' divorce and my first real broken heart from my girlfriend. Many others are better (EOMS, SF, SG, etc.), but I love this one.
