The "Last 25 years" Tour

Next tour the Stones should focus on the latter half of their career and do a tour of only songs from the last 25 years.

I know they won't but it would be great.

they could do one from the last ten instead...

that way we'll all be home in time for the 10 O'clock news...

There is a fair amount from the last 25 years in the setlist now. If you add up all the 80s 90s and 00s stuff (which I can't be bothered to do) you might be surprised at how much latter career stuff is in there.

Forget it. A concert without JJF, HTW, Satisfaction and 5-6 other classics would be NOT a concert of the Stones. Yes, they could add some more songs from the last 25 years. They could play for example "One Hit To The Body", "I Go Wild" and tracks from the "A Bigger Bang". But they have to do it replacing "Tumbling Dice" (even i like it live!), "Miss You", even "usual" songs from the last 20 years like YGMR, not peplacing JJF or HTW!

To be honest, i like the balance between decades on set lists and prefer more songs they don't play often from EVERY DECADE. Winter, Sway, Black Limousine... But the 9-10 warhorses are always warhorses!!

PS "Next tour"? If...

Funny...
We have people favorizin the 60´s. 70´s. 80´s. And the 90´s.
Plus 00´s, not to forget...

They would play for some three-four hour at least to please all the various tastes, right?

Therefore I say, Stickydion has a heavy point here, stating:

"To be honest, i like the balance between decades on set lists and prefer more songs
they don't play often from EVERY DECADE. Winter, Sway, Black Limousine...
But the 9-10 warhorses are always warhorses!!" ...
Still, the latter can be reasoned around.

I still think SMU can take a loooong rest.

HTW too. ... I was thinkin the same on SFTD until I heard (actually
I listen to it now, for the first time, the Fenway-version) it
in its current costume... But, well; even if it´s arranged & performed very well,
I think they can give it a rest for most of the tour. There are much material
screamingly better fit to the 2005 issue of the band.

I've been bored by HTW live for at least 15 years, but have to admit again they re-invigorated some these 'oh no not THAT again' 'horses - especially cutting CL's solo & tightening it up, real raunchy too.
