They were pretty much unstoppable, but you had to get them going first. I got my sister's old bug when I was in college and moved to an apartment. Had to push start it almost every morning, made a lot of friends that way.

yes I confirm that the Japanese blu ray version is amazing !
it's a real pleasure to watch it
I can only recommend it to those who hesitate, you won't regret it, i tell you that !

Hence the dividing line betwixt the classic & modern eras...*And if they had come back in, say - 1984 or 1986, it could've been a disaster given the state of band relationships, substance abuse, etc...

Damn shame that the Hal Ashby film has not been RESTORED ,to bring back all the CUT footage because of TIME considerations to squeeze this film to 90 minutes ,Damn Shame because Mr.Ashby sure shot some really FINE footage !!!!!!!!

I read somewhere that all footage was thrown into the can after the final movie was realized. That would be a shame because as you said it is really great footage - if not the best footage of the rolling stones. the quality is stunning and the shows have magic.

Darn right , also because the Stones are on fire ,really hot !!!!!!!!!!!

I have the Japanese BluRay (1080p) and it runs normal speed (ie. the songs are in the right key - not sped up by a half step, like other PAL-sourced copies).

The quality is so good you can actually see faces in the crowd at a distance.

After years of washed-out VHS copies, it's like watching for the first time.

Be nice if they included 'When the Whip Comes Down', the actual live footage video of 'Going to a Go Go', and the complete live footage of 'Neighbours' (although the backstage edit is amusing).
