Keith finds satisfaction as a grandad

Her parents — Rolling Stones hellraiser Keith Richards and his one-time junkie muse Anita Pallenberg — gave her up when she was a baby because they were too drug-addled to care for her.

At the time, Anita was shooting up heroin three times a day and she and Richards nearly died once when the bed they had passed out on caught fire.

Thankfully, Keith’s doughty mother, Doris, stepped in to look after baby Dandelion — as she was named by the couple. She was raised happily in a modest semi in Dartford, Kent, far from the excesses of her parents’ rock- star lifestyles.

Now nearly four decades later, Dandelion, 39, is about to present the guitarist and songwriter with a grandchild.

His daughter, who chooses to be known by her middle name Angela, is to give birth next month. Keith, 67, who proved himself a doting father when not under the influence of drink or drugs, is said to be delighted. A heavily pregnant Angela was seen last week out shopping at Tesco near her home in West Sussex with her partner Stuart.

I gather their home in West Wittering has been inundated with gifts for the new arrival.

Angela, who has parted from her husband, carpenter Dominic Jennings, 38, whom she married in 1998, moved from Kent after Doris died four years ago.

She lives with Stuart in a detached barn with stables, two miles from Keith’s house, Redlands, scene of the infamous Sixties drugs bust by police that resulted in Richards and Mick Jagger being jailed.
Meanwhile, Ms Pallenberg, also 67, lives in a nearby home with Marlon, Angela’s older brother.

Keith also has two daughters Theodora, 26, and Alexandra, 25, from his 28-year-marriage to Patti Hansen.

Last week, Angela and Stuart were guests at the Pirates Of The Caribbean premiere at the Westfield Vue cinema in London — Keith stars in the film as Captain Teague, but could not make its London debut.

Richards recently opined: ‘I love my families. I have several. And they all love each other. I’m extremely blessed with my ladies who all, thank God, get along.’

Their Youngest Child, Tara, Died As A Baby



Their second child, Tara Jo Jo, was born on March 26th, 1976 and lived for only ten weeks before dying
in his crib. The cause of death was Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), which is defined as an apparent spontaneous
cessation of breathing.

In his 2011 autobiography Life, Richards opens up about the trauma that losing a child took on him. “Leaving a newborn
infant son is something I can’t forgive myself for,” he writes, referring to the fact that he went on tour with The
Rolling Stones shortly after Tara’s birth in 1976.

The book’s co-author, James Fox, gave his own take on the tragedy, telling Daily Express “The first time we talked
about that, Keith couldn’t get out more than five words. Then we realized we had to go back to it. He told me he
thought about it every week.”

Stones gig helped Keith through grief




KEITH RICHARDS has revealed how performing on stage with the Rolling Stones only hours after learning about
the cot death of his two-month-old son helped him cope with the tragedy.

Speaking on today’s Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4, Richards recalls hearing of the death of
Tara Jo Jo Gunne, his third child with the Italian-born actress Anita Pallenberg, while on tour
in June 1976.

“It was such a shock. I was in Paris and I got this phone call from Geneva, where it happened,”
he says tearfully.

“Yet I thought I would go mad unless I continued to do the show that night. If I had just sat there,
I don’t know what might have happened. I might have shot myself.”

Which Rolling Stone has the most grandchildren?


Woods wins the grandfather race: he currently has six, all of whom are older
than his own new daughters. Richards has five, as does Jagger: two by Karis, and three
by Jade, including the latest addition, two-year-old Ray Emmanuel Fillary. Watts has one grandchild.

Mick Jagger also has a great-granddaughter, Ezra Key, by Assisi Lola Jackson – Jade's daughter.

Johnny is the the latest in a long line of unfortunates around Keith who think they can be like him. The most recent pics show him looking 10 years older than than his age and not long from death from drugs and alcohol.

found the man she wants to marry — and she’s only sweet 16.

Amba Jackson, who is Jade Jagger’s younger daughter by her former lover, artist Piers Jackson, says she is secure,
settled and living in London with her handsome beau Frankie Legrange, 17.

The couple are at the same school and Amba tells me: ‘I’m in love and we’ll be getting married.’

The lovebirds met as children in Mustique where Frankie’s banker father has a villa, as does Amba’s rock grandpa.

Jade Jagger’s announcement, aged 40, that she plans to marry her latest man, music festival promoter Adrian Fillary,
must have come as a surprise to her friends. For until now, the daughter of rock legend Mick has seemed positively
scornful of marriage, once declaring, ‘I do wonder why modern society has made monogamy the one and only option. I am
too independent to be seen as some kind of married woman.’ At the time, Jade was in a relationship with the DJ
Dan Williams and having an affair with US music producer Pharrell Williams.

So one wonders what Jade thinks about her youngest daughter Amba’s announcement that she also plans to marry –
aged just 16. Amba, still a schoolgirl, and her 17-year-old boyfriend Frankie Lagrange, in the year above her,
clearly have very different ideas about marriage. They met as children in Mustique, where Frankie’s banker

To be allowed to live with your boyfriend at just 16 is, I think, far too young. Who makes sure you do your

from her mother. But people often marry young for the wrong reasons – an act of rebellion, or the fantasy
of a fairy-tale wedding or the illusion that it will make them complete. Though marrying a childhood sweetheart
works for some, it does have a higher than average breakdown rate.

Amba says that Frankie has met her mother many times. ‘They get on very well,’ she says, ‘but apart from
Christmas, I haven’t seen much of Mum because she has been in Goa, selling her jewellery on the beach.’
Most mothers of 16-year-old daughters, however, would want them living at home so they could be there for
them when needed.
