I'm just happy they are still around and in good enough health to tour .. it does no good to complain about ticket prices , setlist ,fan clubs, chuck, ronnie or whatever else is the gripe of the day ..

Just kick back and enjoy the music . this could be the last time

If you say they're a joke you're not a fan, and then you should shut your hole.

i think it's all done backwards by the stones now. in the old days it was tour to support an album. now it's put out an album to tour. u have to admit caesar their stageshow is huge and they employ alot of people to pull this off. hey, i'll pay the piper to see my boys!!!!!! they still bring it!

I saw Muddy at age of 60 and he got the blues. BB at 70 and he made me feel good, he got the blues. Some weeks ago saw T. Model Ford at 80 and, wow man, the boogie alive !
I was wondering why some people are afraid to think about Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie playing as the blues legends.

Salar, my good old historian: who started this thread? C _ _ _ _ _.
OK. Who killed the original Caesar, long long time ago? B _ _ _ _ _.

OK. Now you have just to think about why I wrote "Brutus was right" after reading this thread.

Got it?

In a certain way Caesar is right. They are only in it for the money. Ticket prices are high so a lot of fans have to put out a certain amount of their income. So the statement "shows have sold out so the ticket prices aren't high" is just a joke.

The best example is the fan club. They let you pay $100 (well some of us have several sad smiley so you think you might get 1st time information? No, without shidoobee or IORR you won't have clue what they played on their shows. It took them nearly a day to deliver a setlist.

Then you think as a member who paid $100 you should get the announcement of new shows at first on rs.com. Wrong, they sold it again to yahoo so they could have announce the new tour dates and also can show one video from Boston. So isn't that kind of sellout?

Let's talk about at the end of the year when you have to pay 300 Euro for a standing ticket in the dust of field in the middle of nowhere.

And I think I will be there, sigh!

This will lead nowhere.
We´ll never stop complaining over their greed.
I might as well write "Jagger´s greed", but then I have
the mob over me, that´ll tell Keith is exactly as greedy.
And Ron. And Charlie. And Darryl. And Chuckie.
And we´ll keep comin to the shows.

I would like to know the difference in tix prices from US/Europe.

I´s also fascinating how celebrities crowd the Stones´ concerts;
its lika a touch of bliss, like being close to the presence of a
Royalty. I cant really critize that; I would feel the same...
Hell, I shook hand with ALO last fall, and it gave me the shiver
just on that level.

If the Stones are "only in it for the money", why are they rehearsing 130 songs before each tour?

Why are they bringing out the biggest, most ridiculously advanced stage I've ever seen any band use?

These guys COULD go out there and remain on coast mode, play a smattering of unrehearsed hits night after night, but they don't. They put a LOT of money into the show to guarantee the people get their money's worth. They work their asses off as well. I was at Fenway last night and it was worth every single penny and more.

If people were walking away disappointed and feeling ripped off, the notion that they're merely in it for the money might hold some water. But everyone I was with and everyone I've spoken to who attended Sunday and Tuesday are in agreement that the shows were magical. The rave reviews speak for themselves.

The Stones are, have been & always will be the greatest rock n roll band in the world pal & there aint a damn thing you can do about it.

I wonder,if you're so pissed off - are you actually gonna go to a concert? & if so,why?

There's nothing better out there - & when it is finally all over it'll be a sorry day for all of us.

When the Stones' tickets were around $40-$80, scalpers were selling them for $200-$500.
If the Stones tickets can fetch these prices, why shouldn't the performers reap the reward instead of the parasite scalpers?
They make the music, let them make the money.
And why shouldn't they do it for the money?
Is that some silly socialist notion that they owe the people the music without monetary gain?

Please dont use the word "socialist" in such a peyorative matter.
Not that I´m one, but there are (I´ve heard smiling smiley ) decent people that are s:s.
We could complain about tix prices without being called the s-word.
