This year is the 50th anniversary of Afermath. Why don't they play the whole album (UK edition) in Arenas plus 10 warhorses. Both sets of fans the longstanding and the more occasional will love it. Other artists do it and everyone appreciates it.grinning smiley

thumbs up

A 30 minute jam during Going Home would be part of the deal?

A 15 minutes version would do it and could replace Rambler, a song I love, but has been constantly been present in their set list since 2012. A 30 minutes jam could be interesting, but that might not be the case for the occasional fan.grinning smiley

Some of the gigs in 1975 and 1976 was only 18 songs long!

OT - AC/DC have been playing a setlist with 19-20 songs since 1980, songs like You Shook Me All Night Long was not played live until around 1985/86.

OT Response- It looks to me like YSMANLong was played 240 times between 1980- 1985.

I have lately been listening to a lot of full concert-uplpads on YT from 1980 to 1988, where the setlist is in the description and I don't see YSMANL on any on those lists. Is there a AC/DC setlist-database somewhere on the net?

Which shows? They had a long setlist in 75/76.

Most of the 1975-shows counted 20 or 23 songs. The 2nd show in Munsterlandhalle 30th april 1976 counted 17 songs. The standard-setlist on the 1978-tour was 18 songs, apart from the the first gig in Lakeland and 4th gig in Washington that only counted 16 songs.

And the 30th anniversary of Dirty Work. So that makes great 24-song setlist >grinning smiley<

I have seen AC/DC about 5 or 6 times between 1980 and 1985....they always did YSMANL, always....the only thing different was that back then, they often didn't play the intro riff.

Click on YSMANL and you'll see that they've been playing it since 1980. 1134
times total.

why is it we can never be satisfied? think about the bright side, axl rose isn't the stones new frontman...that has to count for something.

I am satisfied,
I am downright THRILLED and delighted with the current state of affairs with my favorite band.

I think 2-2.5 hours sets and jamming some the greatest rock and roll songs ever written is SPECFKGTACULAR!

I wasn't referring to you jambay...you and i are cool...just everyone else, you know, rockman and the rest of them.
cool smiley

ya know, there should be more guffaws and chortles in the world...

i frequently chortle but must admit rarely guffaw. i will work towards greater balance.
