not a bad setlist for a stadium show in my opinion, four new songs first show, I remember in 97 B2B they only played two to begin with, She's so cold has not been played since 81/82 , as much as I was hopeing they would play sway, it might not have worked outdoors.

forget setlists
its all about how they are presented live
the show could be made up of sway, soul survivor and the entire 68-73 catalogue, but if the songs sink, it wouldn't matter.
as long as the songs that are played sizzle, it doesn' matter if they did the entire steel wheels album twice, once elctric and once acoustic.

im glad the work horses are there, and so are the b-hits. no real rare gems, but glad to see the new songs aren't over powering and that out of control has re-emerged

im just hoping for sway and out of control and mid night rambler for toronto

Out Of Control is the new Midnight Rambler

Wouldn't it be appropriate to be thankful that the Stones still do this for us?
For me, if the Stones would come up to play Satisfaction even twice a night, I wouldn't complain. It's up to them!

i would glady take either rambler or out of control.
but i will pray for both, two jam songs would be fine with me

Don't get me wrong.
I rather hear Sway, Slave, Let it Loose, CYHMK, I got the Blues, Dead Flowers, She Smiled Sweetly, Connection and more of this stuff than all those songs I heard dozens of times since my first live Stones-gig more than 35 years ago.
But still, if they start a song like BS, it's the Stones. And there's not anything like it in the entire world. Period.

after seeing this set here is my prediction
i see that

paint it black
live with me
bitch
harlem shuffle

will trade places through out the tour with

shattered
beast of burden
heart breaker

and i see a few one off songs coming and going over the course of the tour
i can see these songs being played once just to say they have been done:

sway
memory motel
all down the line

just a guess we’ll see what happens

I love the setlist. Remember this is for the stadium shows. Shattered, She's So Cold, Out Of Control, the new songs. YEAH!!!! I bet they'll play Sway and Sister Morphine at arena shows. I just adore IORR as the last song. This is so amazing.

So you're disappointed.
OK, get lost.
Go elsewhere and wait for another band to satisfy your needs.
In the mean time we will have more fun you'll ever get.
Because the Stonesd are the greatest.
Bye.

oh pray tell johang

what awful setlist would you want

*can't wait to hear this*

It would seem to me the Stones are
trying to score a new hit album
by playing an accessible hot rocks
set that the average fan, tho perhaps
not all of us hard core types, might
really like. As such, I'd have to
say their commercial instincts are
about right, give or take a song
or two. They'll vary this set
somewhat as the tour progresses,
with some perhaps more interesting
goodies to follow, as they throw
us the bone too. Have faith.

I can go on, but the fact is Stones live for the last many years is no good. They have a dozen + songs they could have replaced Miss You and Tumbling Dice etc with, but no all @#$%& boring.

Please go on.
We love reading your tired post about what they could have played.

Please put some effort yourself in something quite new and original.
And please leave this board for about a year and a halve.

Quite missing the point, isn't it?

I have faith, but I thought they would explore their catalog.

Those who complain are blind. Maybe you'd prefer to go see Jimi Hendrix, or the Beatles, how bout the Doors. You know Janis Joplin sounds good tonight. But I really love the Grateful Dead. They mix the setlist up every night. Oh wait, that's not going to happen. Those bands don't tour because they are indeed Dead. And don't give me the spinoff Grateful Dead bands please. Tried that once and the Dead without Jerry would be the Stones without Mick and Kieth.
Go complain on the Britany Spears board. She hasn't played a REAL show EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

once again the "attackers" come out and personally attack when someone isn't happy about the Stones. Grow up. It's all just opinions about the band - and they are ALL VALID.
